***The Official Indiana University Class of 2024 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

Yeah, I remember getting a toothbrush, some Crest toothpaste (you’ll learn why this brand over the others) and a folder containing information about the school.

As for hotels, there are a few Marriotts (Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, JW Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, and so forth - all central, nearby the dental school). You can also Airbnb if you feel comfortable doing that. I did this and found a place for $15 a night vs spending $70+ a night on hotels which are typically more expensive on the weekends too.

Traffic wasn’t bad at all but I’d still plan on leaving a bit earlier than usual just to play it safe.

Good luck to you both, it’ll go great!!

Chain necklace? Lol na, I wish. If that was the case then maybe I would’ve still held onto mine by the end of the day. It was a sticker one and I lost it an hour in.

Can you explain the MMI interview? I heard its one 8 minute with student ambassador, one 8 minute with student ambassador, one eight-minute Multiple Mini Interview with IUSD Faculty, and one up to twenty minute traditional interview with IUSD faculty. So each of these interviews(ambassador and IUSOD Faculty) with one person or more?

I would like to know what is a traditional interview like? Are there ethical questions like alcohol or blood/saliva?

is it open filed or closed file interview?

What is meant by the fact that the interview style at IU is traditional? Are there any ethical questions? Does traditional interview include ethical questions/scenario ones?

How was the process of the traditional style interview? Will it be two faculty members and one student?

They will email you and tell you. But all 3 interviews (one with student ambassador, one with faculty, and another with faculty) are one-on-one. A traditional interview is an open file interview with 1 person interviewing you. If it was 2+ interviewers on you, this would be a panel interview. Don’t sweat it, most relaxing interview I received.

What makes Indiana university special? If they ask that question during the interview, whats a good answer?

Does Indiana send out rejections on Dec 2nd midnite or just waitlist emails for the ones that interviewed?

They send out acceptances and waitlists. Anyone that didn’t interview yet is declined as they don’t do post-December interviews. From what I heard, they don’t decline and that when you get an interview at this school, your chances are already really high of being accepted. Just depends on other applicants and whether they give up their acceptances to attend elsewhere.

Hi so i found this post on last year's thread and wanted to know if sending an letter of intent PRIOR to the December 2nd date is okay or if it will help. I guess IUSD doesn't like to be contacted after decisions are out because decisions are final and nothing will help at that point, but this is pre-December so I wanted to know if it would make a difference at all maybe because they haven't finalized decisions yet?
What are you trying to send? Did you interview at least?

Letter of intents are only sent by people who interviewed or else it would be a letter of interest.
Why would you send one without even knowing if they will accept you or not? I would wait! You might be already on their accepted list anyway. You never know. Are you instate or out of state?

So this Sunday night around midnight is when we should be expecting decision emails right?

You guys know when we are supposed to get informed? Are we getting phone calls or will it be emails, or both?

Do you guys know if they tell you you’re waitlisted at midnight too? Lol

wait listed, congrats on those who got accepted!!
