Received an email on August 27th that I have been invited to the 9/30 interview. See you guys there!

Received invitation email on 08/27 for interview on Oct 14th (???) So I guess I am the only one here who got the invitation almost 6 weeks before the actual interview date. 🙂 Nevertheless, I am pumped and super excietd 🙂)
 
According to update on portal today, "Your file will be re-reviewed by the Admissions Committee in 60 days."

Anyone receive this message and later on interviewed? Or am I one step closer to a rejection email?

You are not alone. I will be waiting in-line with ya. The email states 90 days. I think we might get interview invites post Dec 2. It's probably a great time to visit FL in the winter to scape the cold winter.

So you don't think it's a rejection, but rather they are already over-booked with interviews for pre-Dec decisions?

Same here. Interview scheduled for 10/14/2013.
 
Anyone already go to an interview here or anyone going to the one tomorrow?? I'm over here chillin at the Holiday Inn bored as balls.

I have no idea and we can speculate as we want. Stay hopeful since this is the only thing we can do for now.

Where on the portal did you get that message? My portal still hasn't changed
 
Does anyone know the parking specifics if we are driving to the school?
 
To everyone who already had their interview, how was it? What can you tell us about your impressions? What kind of questions wrre asked? Is it still in a group? Any other general advice?

Why spoil all the fun?! :laugh:

Don't fret too much - the day is informative, relaxed, and overall relatively low-stress. The interview is still in a group setting (6 prospective students, 2 interviewers), run of the mill questions - sdn's interview feedback should set you up fine.

It's under the admissions tab, then on the left handed column under admission status. It took awhile to update and I wouldn't worry if you still don't see anything.
 
I contacted LECOM about my English credits. That was the last change on my portal.

My Admissions tab still has the " Your application has been processed and will be sent to the Admissions Committee for futher review. Your will be notified as soon as a decision has been made." message.

BLAH
 
just received my lecom interview invite yesterday 😍 does anyone suggest a particular airport to fly into? certain airports near me always have delays and i'm trying to avoid added issues on the other end as well.

my AADSAS application was submitted on July 16th.. my LECOM supplemental was submitted on August 3rd. There was an issue though with my English credits and so on Aug 21st I received the confirmation email that my app was actually complete and would go under review...

so much luck to everyone.

How many interviews per week is lecom doing? Just curious.
 
If anyone else is looking for stuff to do in their down time in Bradenton...I found this beach about 30 mins from the school, free parking, free bathrooms and on sundays it's market day with vendors 🙂

Sounds like a pretty fun way to relax before the interview, and if you rent a car its easy to get there 🙂 Just thought I'd share if anyone was interested! 😀

i'm confused by LECOM's application process. I'm 2nd batch and my status in the portal still hasn't been updated from "If you have not submitted your supplemental application, click the link on the left to do so. If you have, this message will update once we have processed it. Do not submit another application." I gave them a call because I was concerned about missing documents, but the representative said they have everything on file.. just that the admissions committee hasn't reviewed my application yet. Is this a little strange? Don't they review applications in order from which they receive?
 
Rejection via snail mail. Hopefully better things await.

Why are people freaking out over these communications? It simply means they're processing and/or reviewing your app. No more, no less.

I believe they're doing mon and thursda interviews with 25 applicants on each day. Last year they interviewed over 500 for 100 seats.

wow that's a lot! Or is it? I'm not really sure. Do most schools do this many interviews?

Last year they interviewed 293 OOS candidates for 52 spots which boils down to about an 18% chance, although if you are good at interviewing statistics like these shouldn't matter.

according to adea guide, they interviewed 293 applicants and gave 138 acceptances. That's well over 18% chance of getting in post interview. But about half of those accepted people dropped their acceptances.
 
I'm interviewing on Monday and was wondering how the group interviews worked. Do they just ask a question and go around to everyone? Or is it a different question per person? Does everyone get a chance to speak or do you just have to speak over people?

I got the same thing just now... but 90 days. I don't get what it means... is it a rejection or waitlist?

I haven't interviewed this cycle yet 🙂xf: hopefully I will) but I have in a recent cycle and it's pretty much how you'd expect a group interview to go. There were two interviewers per group of maybe 6 or so students and they ask a question... whoever wants to go first takes it and then everyone else answers one by one until all have answered. Then the interviewers ask the next question and it keeps going from there.
