Right now I'm thinking of voting for either Mel based on knowing Pippy had a power role, Allie for defending greeney (I haven't played with Allie before, so don't know that she wouldn't do that, and it was a soft, hedging vouch) or staff because of the frustrating refusal to explain his/her comments (unless I've missed an actual helpful post from them today).

I'm going to add more pressure to coop because the last minute waffle that somebody pointed out (BBC?) was more suspicious to me than the reasons we're lynching the other leading candidates today. I'm not above a mel lynch but I personally think he telegraphed that pippy had a role ability of some description on thread and given the preponderance of vanillas in this game telegraphing that made her a good kill target for the wolves.

Let's clear this up fast. It hasn't been a "tradition" for me to vote SP. I did it once early game at some point (heck I couldn't even tell you when) and SP claimed then and there that I "always vote for her."..... and well, it became a friendly thing. I put it in as a joke and if I find reason to move it during Day 1, I do. Go look at last game... I don't think I even voted for her Day 1.

What is more odd here, is that SP has voted for me in the same "spirit" and you don't have her listed in your write up here. Why not?

Just to clarify, I just got one PM from Pippy and that was not too long before the night closed (my fault, I didn't open it until late). All she said was Mel knew something about her role and if she died to make sure he did. Well, that and to ask me why I hadn't opened it earlier, lol. The reason was that I didn't know that it could be important to do so.

I hate playing the waiting game for people to show up and defend. Which is a great woof tactic to stay out of crosshairs. I feel like yesterday was shear luck.

Okay I mentioned yesterday cray's weird "brainfart" moments (where she didn't know she had to write lynch to lynch someone and where she didn't understand why only one person died in the tie) and her high level of activity when she said she wouldn't be active much made me want to look into her more.

Greeny's comment does totally come off as a wolf with nothing better to say that wants to be seen saying something. But Greeny is prone to those kinds of errors as a villager (making a candid comment that all villagers should know to avoid to avoid confusing people). I agree now with LIS and others who felt it twist their gut a little.

OTOH, even as a noob I have never seen, something about Staff's post seems contrived, versus Greeny who seems candid. Candid wolf vs villager remains to be seen. In any case, contrived always pings me more than any kind of nooby slip up or traditionally "wolfy" things being done by a noob or part of someone's typical play.

Soft vouch for greenie and trying to get us to look more at another noob? While still saying greeny could be sketch just in case she died, cray would have said she was slightly sketch.

on second thought Mel, what is the issue with asking how Staff survived the lynch tie? Your point is true, but it's also true that ties resolve for other reasons. Double voters, lynch avoidances, protection spells/items/etc.... It's worth wondering. I'm surprised you not only don't seem to care, but you seem to care that I do or that I might encourage others to as well.

So my question for cray is were you actually confused at why only one person died or was it more you were trying to speculate on the reason she didn't?

This post sticks out to me. Feels a bit artificial.

I opened with Cowgirl when I said so on the thread, close to close. She didn't have anything specific, just a noob looking for general advice, but then I got a message from the mods giving me a PM'ing restriction that I couldn't mention on thread (I asked Sport Pony to open with me before I saw the mod message, oops. Haven't gotten a PM from Sporty yet but it hasn't been long). So I didn't get back to Cowgirl after I opened with her and she messaged me back. I had to leave her in the dark, and I asked the mods and no, I couldn't mention any of it in the thread until morning when the restriction ended. Which is now.

Will keep you guys updated.

hmmm what kind of abiltiy/item/mechanic would have where someone couldn't pm at night? Did anyone else have this problem/restriction? I wasn't around last night, but will see if it's a game mechanic thing where you can't post at night. Otherwise it is weird. It would be a weird lie though.

You would totally drop that in thread so you and your wolf pack could use Pippy's intel, take out our seer, and still try to distance you from the kill. None of what you just said clears you at all.

Interesting that you don't suggest that Cowgirl is scapegoating you, because she's the wolf, because she knew Pippy was a seer as well. Unless you know that couldn't be the case. Or you're worried that would make you seem like you're scapegoating a villager.

You could both be wolves, much to poor Pippy's terrible luck, and looking to make a wolf to wolf interaction look wolf vs villager to try to clear at least one of you in the village's mind.

Your lack of reactivity to being blamed for the seer's death, also reads as odd to me.

I like this logic, and it scares me when I both follow, and like, crayon's logic.

I'm going with this for now. Gotta co work on my take-home final. If cowgirl is telling the truth, then it sounds like mel knew more than he is letting on. I'm leaning towards LIS's usual attitude of "crack some eggs," in regards to Mel and cowgirl, and am also really not fond of the fact that staff avoided that lynch last night (for whatever reasoning it may have been), on top of avoiding all helpful discussion.

I think Coop waffling at the last minute very much could have been village as it was wolf, especially on D1, but definitely want to hear from her.

Right now, Allie and Snowy aren't pinging my radar as hard as the above mentioned.
