Did you confirm with the admissions office that the Touro Harlem campus was filled already?

Bee-jey, I think I read somewhere that you look for someone who are interested in living off-campus. I am also considering living off-campus. I don not know how to use the pm function on studentdoctor.net.

Yes, I believe they do. You can search back through this thread, but I'm pretty sure it was stated that they are. You do not have a better chance at a NYC rotation by going to Harlem over Middletown.
 
Hey guys! I am kind of new to this, does any one know if they are still interviewing? I submitted my secondary in November and still haven't heard anything. I emailed admissions in Dec and they told me the generic "you're still under review." Should I call back now? I said that my preference was the Middletown campus so I don't know if that helps. Thank you so much! 🙂

Just my personal guess since it's February. Though there will be people withdrawing seats up till first day of class, I think most people will be waitlisted after the interview at Harlem, and acceptances will be given to the select few only. That doesn't mean you won't be accepted; it's just that it's getting to the end of the interview session and most seats are filled at this point.

I guess since they told you you're still under review, your application was complete. Are your stats a bit below average? I think Touro likes students with high MCAT and might have interviewed those applicants first. You will likely receive your II soon.

I've received an email yesterday with the "health packet". Basically just some physician examination, immunization forms. Haven't received other enrolment documents, though the email did state more will be sent out in the coming months.

Yeah I haven't gotten anything from Touro since the deposit confirmation..
 
I was accepted into Middletown though, so maybe Harlem has different people sending the emails. Also, I was accepted back in early December so they could have started with people who interviewed earlier.

Hmmm that's weird because I didn't even get that either. I haven't received anything except for thanks for the deposit, your seat is saved and we will give you more stuff in January
Oh, I also received an email saying, hey, you haven't signed up for the summer anatomy class, we still have seats, wanna sign up?

Yeah it seems like Middletown is more on top of their admissions. I was accepted to Harlem back in November and if I remember correctly @Nesmall2 was accepted before that.

Hi, my secondary was complete on nov 10, and the interview invitation was sent to me on Jan 10. I interviewed on jan 26. I received acceptance on this Tuesday, which was just 8 days after interview. When I had interview, the admission staff, Sean, told me there were like 70 spots left over. The screening process was very rigorous. If you are offered interview, you have very good chance being accepted. Even if you are wait listed, your chance of getting accepted is still very high since some "crazy things happen" about 80% chance getting accepted, if I did not remember wrong. On jan 26, there were still 70 spots out of 130 something spots left over. I believe you still have a shot. FYI, I put both Harlem and middletown for my preference. Have some faith. Prob, invitation is on the way. Calling them, I believe it makes no difference. Since touro is a relatively new school in ny, they need a boost in reputation. They need students who are capable of matching into residency. If you are not rejected right away after submitting secondary, you still have a shot. Cheer up.

Complete in August/Sep (can't remember or be bothered to check), received II this week.

Don't worry too much, sophosophocles. I don't think that poster is on top of his/her info. I thought they said during interview last month that they still have a number of spots to fill. They had 3-4 interview sessions during the last couple weeks of jan, I think. And have sent out more IIs. I'd guess there are still spots.

What are you basing this on that the Harlem class is probably full or almost full?
 
I'm kind worried I didn't get anything emailed to me yet

Actually they told me that while its possible for them to share sites, they prefer to keep Middletown to middletown and Harlem to harlem, but they'll probably end up sharing a little.

Anyone know what the acceptance rate is after receiving an interview?
 
Harlem campus acceptance here...no follow up email apart from the confirmation that I paid the deposit and an email re: summer anatomy course

I'm not sure. It seems like if you get an interview you have a high chance of getting accepted, since they screen secondaries quite heavily. But who knows, since its already pretty late in the cycle. They may or may not be more picky with who they accept since most of the seats have been taken. I'm assuming this is for Harlem!

I was complete in January, and I was interviewed just last week. I am not sure how the selection process works....but good luck and hopefully you'll get an II soon!

Did the packet email come right after the email announcing it's going to come? I got the email about 3 days ago telling me to keep an eye out for a follow-up email with the packets, but I still haven't recieved anything...Harlem too, btw

I haven't received a second email yet, just the first one stating a second one will come
 
The emails usually arrive within one hour of each other. i would call.

If you sent in your deposit and received an email stating that your seat is reserved, then you should be fine. Your packet will come in due time, so there is no real point in rushing it. The packet is just a few health forms and a transcript request if you already have your degree. Requests for the second deposit will be coming soon, as will financial aid, bursar, and registration information. Once they receive your health forms and second deposit you may register for fall classes.

Yea I received an e-mail stating that I need to send in official transcripts, but it says I would receive another email with the actual health forms and more information about financial aid. No big deal, as soon as I got the email I order official transcripts to be sent to admissions, just waiting for the health forms to come in
