Do we know if this school sends out a last email when we know for sure there’s gonna be no more WL movement? Usually that is on orientation day? Or when classes start on Aug 11?

I wish they’d give us something more than “you can get in any time from now till August 11th” like i understand you can’t predict when people will drop but they could give us a likelihood based on previous trends. Also the waitlist is supposedly “unranked” but I’m sure they have some sort of system to take people off once someone drops and they could let people know how their chances look. I wasn’t originally worried about being on the WL bc of previous threads and the amount of people getting off/ saying that a lot of people get off. If there’s a completely different trend this year, they could just tell us. It’s just stressful and sad. Sorry vent over now lol

Like this thread is 36 pages long whereas previous years are significantly less which indicates this is not what their normal cycle looks like

yeah, also it's weird students can get in even after the white coat ceremony and orientation week like those students must be gathering things last minute..

should we give up hope at this point? I feel like if we haven't heard of any additional waitlist movement then there prolly is a full class and we won't be getting in...

or is there expected to be more slots opening up at some point?

I spoke to the admissions at jonesboro and she said it has been an odd year where lots of people are not leaving their spot therefore the waitlist is not really moving... for example at the jonesboro location 1-2 people would move per week and only about 3 ppl have been let off the waitlist this whole summer //:

tbh i speculate it has to do with the big beautiful bill and how class of 2029 is grandfathered into this class- who wants to risk not being able to use federal loans anymore!

I'm keeping like a 0.01% sliver of hope... but i just dont think anything's gonna work out so late into the cycle and just a few days before orientation starts...

spoke with them today and they said there was waitlist movement yesterday so there probably won’t be any more this week. if spots open up next week might possible see some movement but they’re not sure

ya i feel like at this point its so late and most other med schools have already started by now... i wish we could get off the waitlist but i dont think i can keep up much more confidence and hope anymore
