Does anyone know if dvm/mph program is only open to the admitted students? I feel reluctant to fill out the application unless I know what the admission result is. Lol guess i have to wait till tmr

I remember them saying that the duel program is only for admitted students.

So guess it's not today? They said by the end of the month, which is Friday

Best of luck to everyone today/tomorrow! It's been a pleasure going through the application process with you all. Regardless of the Tufts outcome, I have faith that everyone here will end up in the right place because you're all capable and deserving people

Hello everyone! I’m a first year at Tufts. I know you’re all awaiting your decisions, and I do have a good feeling that today will be the day... I was really surprised you didn’t hear yesterday. But I do know that admitted students day will be on March 23, so try to plan for that if you can, once you find out if you got in! Let me know if anyone has questions, as I am currently procrastinating studying for my exams 🙂))

Maybe they are being extra cautious for some reason...? There was a high profile snafu with Mayo a couple weeks ago where they sent med school acceptances to a few hundred people who did not actually get in, and so perhaps they are trying to avoid something like that. (Or they may not even be aware of that news story, idk. Just a thought I had.)

But it still stinks to have to wait. I hope you all hear something soon!

Wow, that's terrible.. I can't even imagine how heartbreaking that was for those people.

anyone who is OOS accepted mind sharing their stats?

IS alternate and devastated. Anyone know how much the waitlist moves?
I know it’s stings right now but don’t get discouraged. Just the fact that you got an interview and got waitlisted at Tufts is an huge accomplishment. You could still get in and if you don’t this cycle, that’s ok. Improve your application and apply again! You can even set up an appointment with Ford and have him review your application. You will get there!

Yes academics and rough amount of hours if you have the time/want to write it!! 🙂

I was OOS accepted.

From VMCAS:
Overall: 3.25
Overall Science: 3.67
Post-Baccalaureate Science (same as "last 45"): 4.00

GRE:
Verbal: 161 (88%)
Quantitative: 163 (82%)

Hours: could best be described as "below average", relative to other applicants. (no full-time positions in veterinary nor animal experience)

My GPA at my primary undergraduate (where I got a B.A.) was 2.84, but I'm a 30 yr old non-trad applicant who went back to school and got 4.00 in basically all the pre-vet science classes during the past couple years of my career change/transition. Hope this info helps 🙂

OOS Alternate and really bummed :/. Does anyone have an idea about how much the oos waitlist moves? I’m trying to remain hopeful but realistic at the same time .

Sure!
Animal hours: 4831
Vet hours: 1046
GRE: 159 math, 167 verbal (took twice)
Current school gpa: 3.83 at time of application
Vet tech school gpa: program 4.0, overall 3.9
AAS in vet sci tech
NYS vet tech license
That’s it for what you’re asking I guess. Keep in mind I have been an undergrad for 10 years so I had a lot of time to accumulate those hours. There were 2 other colleges before tech school that were much lower gpas but those were ages ago. I did a lot of different types of internships, studied abroad, and held several different jobs over the years. I’m a very weird applicant so I’m not the best basis of comparison.

FYI for those who are looking for stats & those who are willing to share...

There's usually an annual combined "accepted applicants" (or "successful applicants") thread for all schools where people post their stats to help others in the future. There is usually also a template posted at the beginning of the thread. Keeps it consolidated, and also makes it easier to compare between multiple schools! 🙂
