Thanks so much for the reply! 🙂 ok i guess i kind of knew most of the things you have said, but its just.. i really have no idea what to choose. no going down and experiencing it before hand too since i live halfway across the world 😛
what i noticed is what you said about the experience hours. someone once commented to me about how i would get my experience hours in UCLA -- a city campus without "animals" would you agree with this? i mean i guess there would be a few vet's i could probably get an attachment at, but otherwise...
hmm. i'm so stuck...
The actual campus itself probably doesn't have many animals or vets but I don't think there is any campus that has a particularly large animal population available? It is pretty difficult to get volunteer hours/experience at teaching hospitals, most people gain their experience from private practice veterinarians. I would guess that LA pobably has hundreds (thousands ?) of veterinarians.
Personally, I think it would probably be more difficult to get varied experience here in Davis but I've never worked in LA before.
Another thing to keep in mind - both of these schools are difficult to get into, as a freshman, so it might be worth applying to both anyways.
Good luck.
