It can be difficult to find pet-friendly accommodation, but can totally be done! I’d say be willing to live a little farther from campus potentially. I do know several people who kept their dogs without their landlords knowing (ok… a lot of people do this lol)

Also, did you or your classmates have any trouble landing jobs back in the states after graduating in Ireland? I know it is accredited and shouldn't matter, but just want to prepare myself for down the road if we decide to come back to the US. Thanks!

Nope, no issues finding jobs at all- the school is AVMA accredited. Many classmates matched to #1 choices in the match as well
 
Question About bringing pets with us!! I have a bunny that I am planning on bringing, I just can’t find any updated rules about what the process is for brining him! Does he need to quarantine??

Has anyone else not heard from UCD since their interview? My interview was in earlier January and I haven't been contacted by them or seen a change in the status of my application since then.

I haven't heard. I also emailed them asking for an update and got no response. My interview was on January 17th and I haven't heard from them since then. It's been quite frustrating. At this time, I'm just taking it all as a no so I can start next steps.
 
For those who have not heard from UCD- I contacted them with an update to my transcript from the fall and Trish responded saying “Thank you for the update! You will be hearing from us and seeing a status update to your application within the next few days with great news! You will be receiving an offer for Graduate Entry!” And I was super happy….but it has been a month and still no update or email regarding an offer. If I had not reached out, I still would be assuming I never got accepted. (Tbh I still don’t believe it until they update my application, I feel like I have to see it in official writing to believe it haha)
 
Hey guys! I’ve definitely been creeping throughout the admissions process. I have been accepted and will be taking my seat for the class of 2026 🙂. I recently made a Facebook group for all you guys accepting your seats. I didn’t see one yet so I just made one. I also was wondering if a WhatsApp group might be appropriate as well. I’m moving from the US too, so also going through the struggles.

I haven't heard and mine was January 6th. I'm getting really stressed out by it at this point. This is my last chance for this cycle to get in. I emailed them last night. Fingers crossed I'll hear something soon!

My status just got changed today to say Reserve, but that didn't not come through email for me. I just went into my account and saw the update.

Hey y’all! I was wondering if anyone else had submitted one of those question forms to UCD (mine was specifically regarding pre-recs) and have heard back? I sent mine in and got the receipt/confirmation it’d been submitted on March 3rd and still nothing 🙁 just trying to make this decision haha!

I am in the same situation. I am deciding between RVC and UCD but I have not heard back from UCD regarding a pre-rec they want me to have. I have left two voicemails and an email and have not heard anything back.

I received this message from Michelle yesterday: "Apologies for the delay in reverting to your email. I have passed your query to my colleagues in admissions and will revert to you shortly.". So I'm hoping they'll get back to us soon, I also left 2 voicemails and 2 emails before that
 
Is anyone else on here from the San Francisco area and going to the UCD reception at the Irish Consulate tonight?

Hi 🙂 I still haven't heard back but I'm not losing hope and you shouldn't either! I sent an email to admissions asking for an update to get an idea of when we should be getting a response.
As a Canadian applicant I applied directly through the portal in October.
My interview was end of February so it's been about a month and I feel like I'm losing my mind, so I totally understand where you're coming from.

I interviewed like the first week of January I believe. It took quite some time to finally hear back. I was getting super anxious about it. I emailed twice at the end of March. The first week I didn't hear anything back and then I sent a follow up which took another week for them to reply and they told me I'd be getting good news and then my acceptance came in the following Tuesday.

I submitted mine last week I think. I'm still awaiting on an answer from them about my actual reward amount

Another option (instead or in addition to) would be a Zoom call with anyone who is interested. I have posted this on the Facebook group as well.
 
My application status has remained as "further review" since forever. Is anyone else still waiting for an answer? I'm thinking they forgot about me.
I still have a sliver of hope but realistically I'm thinking that if they were going to offer me a spot they would have already.
Is anyone in a similar situation?
 
Has anyone started the housing hunt for ideas? Is anyone planning on taking their pets with them? I've started looking but finding places that take pets has been difficult and I was curious if anyone had found any somewhat promising places.
 
I did take a peek a month or so ago to see what kind of things were available and pricing but I'm planning to start seriously looking mid-lafe June

I am thinking of applying to UCD next year for graduate entry in veterinary medicine (DN300).

I am from France and I have graduated from a Bachelor in environmental biology in France and a Master of Agribusiness in Australia, wondering if my profile as any chances to go through as a graduate entry ?

How much did you get at GAMSAT, I am sitting it in September.

Can someone confirmed that DN300 costs 10 000€ / annually ?

Just emailed UCD my letter of withdrawal from the program after getting accepted into my in-province school, hopefully someone on the waitlist will be getting great news this week 🙂
