are they really "rolling" like they say? Or have they recently changed to simply telling everyone in late February/early March, and not updated their website?
 
my guess is as good as yours. if last year they took awhile b/c of problems, then maybe they won't have the same issues and be faster? anyone else know?

p.s. this is one old thread.
 
Someone should call and ask! I however am oddly intimidated by calling.
 
I faced my fears and called last Friday. They said decisions hadn't been mailed, and would go out "sometime this month." Didn't sound like soon.
 
No problem. I wish I had gotten more exciting news. At this point, it seems like UCLA is basically non-rolling.
 
do you think all decisions would go out by the end of Jan for everyone that interviewed say up until December? or would some people just not hear anything and be dragged along until April or so?
 
Does UCLA reject anyone after an interview, or does everyone get accepted or waitlisted (before an eventual rejection)?
 
i think they will probably give out decisions in the order of interviews / order in which they received interviewer feedback.
 
I called last week also and asked when I would hear: i said i interviewed 2nd week of December, and she said, i would hear probably around sometime in February...doesnt seem like they have an actual date, more of an estimation of an estimate. but at least if you interviewed before decemeber, you might be getting mail this month!! good luck!:luck::luck::luck:
 
i interviewed early november, so hopefully i'll be hearing soon

That was the due date for your UCLA secondary. It has nothing to do with interviews.
 
does anyone know whether ucla has student hosting?? in my intvw confirmation they just had links to supershuttle/hotels

just wondering...im a huge fan of student hosts..so would totally do it if they had it...(my last host taught me how to make rice krispy treats which i am now obsessed with!!)

Does anyone know if UCLA is still inviting for interviews? I was complete in September and have not heard a peep since...

I got invited about a week or two ago, so there's still a chance. In fact, i know a lot of people who attend ucla right now who didn't get an invite until march. There is hope.

probably not. word on the street is that they let people know in the order that they interview.

this just sucks though. i know where i stand with every school in texas and most outside of the state. ucla is pissing me off with this "we're ucla so you can wait" game...

i hope i get in, so i can move to la and punch david geffen right in the face...:meanie:
 
For those who are still waiting on Geffen, just relax. I know for a fact that UCLA is taking it's time and is a little behind this year.
 
Nobody found out anything last year until March 2. First batch were all acceptances. Next batch went out three weeks later and I believe it was mixed. Don't hold your breath for UCLA...it'll probably be a while.
 
Invited to interview at the end of last week as well. I was complete in August, so was surprised (and pleased) to hear back almost 5 months after I was complete.

Just to be clear- do we need to send in all of our official transcripts to UCLA before the interview? Even though AMCAS has already verified everything? Seems redundant, but if it's needed I'll get it done asap.
 
Still waiting for an interview invite from UCLA!!! I REALLY WANT ONE

Absolutely. Come on, after spending 5 years at ucla, how could i not want to stay? If you've spent an extended period of time in westwood, there are very few places that stack up...

i agree - my cousin got his bachelors and masters from ucla, and i feel in love with westwood visiting him. it's up there.

although i would have to throw austin (ut) into that discussion as well. definately both top 5 places to be (school + area).

anyone had the balls to call and ask anything?

no balls here...😳

Very true, i've heard only good things about ut austin. If there was a med school in austin, i would have applied (even despite the stupid tmdas thing) 🙂
 
I have been complete for more than 3 months.
No interview yet. But I would love to get one.
There is a strict no contact the school policy. Is not there?
So what can/should I do?
Write them a letter of interest, or it is better to sit and wait, until I get an official invite?

I don't know if there is one, but I sent them a letter of interest...

I don't think they want people asking about status, but they absolutely accept letters of update/interest.
 
not that this helps any, but I just called UCLA to find out about decisions. I was told the new date is February 15th. 🙄
