UF 2024-2025 (c/o 2029 hopefuls)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi everyone! So excited to get started in the fall with y'all! I'm looking to fill two bedrooms in my 3x3 unit (the "primrose") at the Bartram, which is right down the street & walking distance from the vet school! Message me if you're interested : ))

In case anyone saw my previous comment about vaccines and was still wondering, Jarron got back to me and said to disregard the May 22 due date. They will be explaining the immunization requirements during our online orientation this month so we have plenty of time. : )

Has anyone been able to do a packet review? I was going to call and inquire today.

Hi! I called. For anyone wondering about packet reviews— they will email you a self evaluation form. It seems like if you were rejected after an interview they will already have sent you this. I told him I was on the waitlist and hadn’t received it. He emailed it to me no problem. Once you submit that, they get in touch with you to set up an appointment.

Are they not requiring us to have been rejected before we do packet review anymore?

Hi everyone! I'm an OOS student who accepted my seat, but I'm a little late to the housing search. I was a passenger in a bad car accident in April and broke my spine and wasn't fully sure if I'd be able to matriculate. Is it likely too late to find (F) roommates at this point? I feel so behind and overwhelmed. I don't mind living alone if it comes down to it, but I know how expensive that can be and it's definitely not financially ideal.

Also, do any current/former students have any experience working with the Disability Resource Center? Or has anyone had to pursue advanced medical care in Gainesville/ at UF? I'd love to chat with anyone who might have insight, or knows anyone who does!

I'm so excited to be joining the class and I can't wait to meet everyone!

I'm still seeing messages about housing arrangements on the GroupMe and things like that so I do not think you are too late. Try looking at the housing list on Facebook, that will allow you to text around for availabilities.

Hi if anyone is still looking for a roommate (female) let me know!! I have two places in mind and would like to live with someone from the same cohort!

Hi everyone, I've decided to take a medical deferral and will be enrolling with the class of 2030 instead. So hopefully one of the OOS students on the waitlist will be getting an offer soon! 🙂
Focus on recovery and getting well. I look forward to seeing you around in 2026.
