3.0c/2.72s, 18AA/19PAT. I worked at OSU's dental school for 5 years accumulating 960 shadowing hours and 600 hours of ortho research with faculty. I was President of my fraternity and served on OSU's student government. Interviewed Nov 7th, waitlisted with everyone else and got the call today. My status has not changed yet, but I started my MBS (dental scholars) program with Rutgers and will be withdrawing. Just showing it is not all about stats, and being well-rounded is important.

Only thing he did tell me is I have 30 days to make the first deposit. I was under the impression that I would have a shortened window to keep the waitlist moving.

i just got the official email. It is actually $2500 ($1000 for the first deposit, and $1500 for the second). So I basically have 30 days to make $2500 deposit. And status has changed to “Offer Made”.

Honestly, only the admissions would know the number of seats they have right now.

It’s still very early. I’m assuming the waitlist won’t move much now until February 15th (since that’s the next deposit date). A lot of the waitlist movement also comes from people dropping out of the waitlist in general as they get accepted elsewhere.

Honestly, I’m not certain, but I really don’t think so. He did go to the school at one point to reaffirm his interest, but that’s hard with covid.

No one knows, but most likely not. Applicants that interview last can still get ahead

It’s known that everyone gets waitlisted that gets interviewed in post-December for UDM specifically. The dentist I shadowed was a UDM grad and had interviewed post-December with getting accepted a couple months later.

I sent one a couple of weeks ago as well and I also didn’t hear back 🤷🏽‍♂

There were ~40 people I’d say. And I don’t remember him saying anything about the waitlist.

Pretty sure it’s feb 15. First one was due January 15 since acceptances went out December 15. After Feb 1st, any offer given will be 2 weeks to put in the deposit and so on.
