I'm applying to Missou since they are my IS! Have yet to hear back from them, but IS interviews are late Feb-March.

Thanks! Hopefully I did. Haha no worries, I was rejected there last year too. Just Mizzou. I already have been accepted into Ross and Cornell was a no.

I got flat out rejected last year and got an interview this year so whatever i did differently they liked it

I'm curious on how the closed-file interview works. Is it mostly behavioral questions, or will we be asked to discuss our experiences too?

It's mainly questions like "explain a time when you had to overcome a challenge" and you kind of have to sell yourself and use your experiences as examples

Just thought I would pop in here to say that I'm an IS student here, so as interviews draw closer, if anyone has any questions specifically for an in-stater, let me know! (I can't remember if PP is in or out of state)

Hi everyone! I am new to this thread and just wanted to know if anyone has been through the University of Illinois interview process in previous years. I am trying to prepare for my interview and would really appreciate any tips on what to expect and how to best prepare. This is my first time applying and all I know is that it is not mmi format.

Quick question! When you guys emailed to accept your interview offer, did you receive any type of reply or confirmation email? I emailed them days ago and never got anything back. Should I call them before the deadline just to make sure they got it?

I have not received a reply back either! I believe the email they originally sent said they would respond with an interview time after the deadline (which I think is January 28th?).

They dont send a confirmation. I called because last year when I interviewed they tried to tell me they didnt get my email and that I wasn't going to interview. I had to push to even get my interview that I accepted so now I'm paranoid.

That’s annoying, I’m paranoid that I sent my email to the wrong address even tho I’ve checked it like 5 times lol

My rejection letter from Mizzou was basically "We didn't pick you. We looked at a lot of applications." I took a screenshot of it.

It made my interview invitations to CSU and U of I all the sweeter.

I didn't receive any email back either. I called and they said they did receive it but are not replying to anyone till after the deadline to email them.
 
If today is the last day to let them know, y'all might not hear until tomorrow

Yeah I’m not stressing at all about my interview time. I know it’ll be on the 19th and I already have flights booked to come and go the 18th and 20th so the time of the interview doesn’t really matter much to me haha
Now if you’re talkin decision letters from other schools that should be in my mailbox within the next two weeks, yeah I’m stressing bout that hahaha
 
I still haven't received an interview time.....should I be worried?
 
They are probably still organizing everyone, if you confirmed your interview I wouldn't worry! It is probably coming soon!
 
I got an email saying "Due to a computer glitch an email was sent in error. Please disregard the previous email with the interview time at 3:40pm . The correct email with your correct time will be sent after 12 noon today.", so I wouldn't worry too much if you haven't gotten an interview email yet.
 
Just received my email 20 minutes ago. Interviewing at 9:40am!!
