It says that's the initial thing they look at, then if you're a good candidate they then look at your essays, experience and letters. After that's when you get an interview invite. What I'm gathering is the acceptance or denial will be more off of the interview itself.
I am going to Austin as well for Friday. I got an email yesterday saying that the interview will start at 900 am not 10 as originally stated in the initial invite.
I will be there as well 🙂 driving from Albuquerque, NM. My friend is a current student and he confirmed there will not be an essay. Good luck to all Ausitn applicants I hope we all get in lol 🙂

I actually did not ask, I was pretty happy with the changes. LOL. I probably will be arriving that afternoon, Im driving 11 hours. Ill message you my information.
Do you know how many are going to be interviewed and the amount of students accepted for the term?
He said 24 will be there Friday. He's unsure if they plan to hold another interview session. From what I gather with USA, their class sizes are much larger. I would imagine another one will be held but he didn't share that info with me. I'll see him when I arrive to TX. If he tells me anything else I'll keep you guys updated.

Hi! It only changed on the old application website and it said something like you've been invited to an interview. But it didn't change on the new application website.

Not anyone from my interview group. From what I've heard, those 12 people were either wait listed or "rolled over" to the next semester because the previous semester class was full. Apparently these people were re-interviewed in early June. This is just what I've heard so idk if anyone else can confirm
I was told this same thing by Erika (no longer works there) and I decided to try my chances anyway. I had 3 classes still in progress when I applied and I had the interview August 7th. I don't think anyone has heard back from that interview day if they were accepted or not. But I know I saw on other forums where people have been accepted with things in progress. Hope this helps!
