I agree with all of the above. If VCU is cheaper for you, pick that. Otherwise, definitely Rush >>>>Drexel.

Probably because of the tuition and subsequent high debt load.....both of which are irrelevant to the quality of training anyway.

I was a student in the College of Medicine...just curious as to why you have such strong opinions about it.

I interviewed at VCU 3 years ago. I loved the school, but Richmond is just "not my cup of tea", to say the least. So, based on location I would probably pick Rush, but based on reputation I would pick VCU. Would I pick Drexel? Sure; if I inherited a million $ and had no other choice.

I interviewed at both VCU and Rush and I absolutely loved Rush. I decided not to go to Rush but between VCU and Rush, I just felt like Rush had more to offer me as a medical student than VCU did. Plus I went to 2nd look at Rush and the students and the new medical tower are amazing. I got the feeling that the students are truly happy there and they have access to so many different opportunities (clinical and non clinical) in Chicago. Plus, it's Chicago and Chicago's bomb. 🙂

HulaHippos, I agree. Deciding between Rush and VCU, I would have chosen University of Wisconsin as well 😀
