Are you IS, WICHE, OOS? I can give info on IS, but I don't know how things typically go for the other two.

At least for Washington IS, the wait list basically never moves. I think the IS pools for each of the regional program schools are divided, but it's hard to tell. Assuming they are, Utah's hopefully moves more. It's dependent on how many IS people accept vs how many seats are offered. Someone who started at Utah will probably know more.

I mean they didn't ask me and I had several Bs and a C on my transcript so it's totally dependent on who you have!

I don't know anyone on here from Utah. Unfortunately I would assume it's similar to the WA IS wait list just from talking to my UT counterparts. If you are really curious I would reach out to Stacey or KT the first week for February after interviews are over otherwise you might be waiting awhile for a response. I hope you get off!

Out of state interviews are taking place all next week, so the admissions staff will be busy. My guess is that people won’t hear back until after next week at the earliest.

Is it ok for us to show up in casual clothes to sit in on classes? My interview is in the afternoon so I was wondering if I could wait to change into my suit until then.

Also I know our information packet states they're taking up to 35 OOS applicants between both Pullman and Logan, but does anyone have any idea about how many applicants they interview?

Yes, yes! There is no dress code. Please come in comfortable clothing - no reason to risk messing up your nice clothing

What other information was in the interview/information packet? I didn’t get an packet.

Has all the info for the past 4 years of interviews. My year there were ~10 spots OOS Pullman the rest were to Logan (that doesn't include WICHE which kinda messes up how they consider OOS. What they offer spot wise year to year will vary-that's a Stacey or KT question.

Mixer, classes, tours, and Q&A are all casual clothing. Closed toes shoes required for tours. 2nd years have class 8-11 tomorrow. Hope to see some of you in our midst! I'll see anyone else at the mixer tomorrow night!
 
Does anyone know roughly the time the classes we can sit on for Friday are? My interview isn’t until 4 so I’m trying to plan when to tour etc. also what is the attire for the mixer and Q&A?

Yep to both.
I think it has advantages. We learn about all species so the NAVLE tends to go better for people, it’s an all species test. If you are someone that is really interested in going one direction you can tailor your third year electives and some of your 4th year rotations to a specific area. If you haven’t interviewed yet and have time to hang out in the school or classes definitely ask questions like this to current students. We all have our opinions about it but I think for the most part we are all happy with it.

And pass/fail takes some of the stress out of classes. You know the minimum for passing and as long as you reach that your professor is happy with your knowledge.
 
Has there been any IS offers made yet? I interviewed Wed 22nd and I am holding my breath that I still have a shot.

I'm guessing us Washingtonians will hear back either next week or the week after since non-resident interviews are until Friday 🤔 fingers crossed it'll be soon though!

Same!! Good luck to you as well! I also interviewed on the 22nd and have been trying to distract myself with work and whatnot but internally I'm like :nailbiting: !!!

Was that me that said it?? Cause I also said Don't freak out if they aren't!! Who knows if something comes up to cause a delay. 2 weeks is not a long time.

Mine came February 5th last year, for reference.
