I emailed them Monday 10/9 and have not heard back about my status... the waiting game is VERY hard. I'm checking my portal like crazy.

I think it varies, because they send invites for interviews in waves as well.

My timeline so far:
VMCAS Submitted 9/10
Coursework verified 9/15
Processed by EDS 9/19
App ready for review 10/3
App still in review 10/9

Hope this helps! I know how you feel I've been anxious and checking my emails like crazy LOL.
 
Do you guys think they have already sent rejection letters?
Do they send those out first before interview emails?
 
the waiting game sucks! I called them earlier today about my application status but they said they couldn't give that info over the phone and to just send admissions an email 🙁
 
I got two emails this morning. One "App still in committee" and one "App is ready for committee review". They came at the exact same time.
 
Well that's comforting haha I just hate when they do alphabetical (which it doesn't sound like they are) I'm a Z so I'm usually last or close to it...

Yeah the lady I talked too didn't seem to care too much as to what I was saying she asked my last name and then immediately went to "I don't know where you application is in the pile" .... she didn't look but it's fine I'll just wait -_-
 
When I downloaded my application on VMCAS it shows the prerequisite form that Western required, but mine is completely blank! :nailbiting: Did any one else see that? I know I submitted the one I filled out.

Mine shows up as blank too but they said it's viewable on their side 🙂 hope that's true for you too!
 
Does anyone know anyone who has heard back about interviews? I don’t. Apparently first interview day is this weekend

How did you hear that the first round of interviews was this weekend?
 
How long has it been since the application was in review for everyone? Mine has been 2 weeks :/

October 3rd! Then on Oct 9th I got an email that my application was still with the committee. Patiently waiting over here as well 🙂
 
Hey Everyone!
I just got off the phone with admissions and they said some people(including me) have had a weird issue on the application portal where it says that they are now awaiting GRE/MCAT scores but in reality they have them. She said she's telling her supervisor about the problem and will be getting back to me about it. I also asked about how long it takes to be put into a "committee review" and she said that since the hurricane and the new system they are implementing, that they are sort of behind.

Afternoon! This is actually not the case. We process in the order received from our Enrollment Data Services. There is no particular order other than that. Because VMCAS extended the deadline it has put our process behind as we had to wait until VMCAS completed their processing and verification of applications.

Rest assured that all candidates are notified by email as their application moves through the process. Best of luck to all!

We apologize for any inconvenience and unnecessary stress a recent technical glitch has caused for many of you. Our system did an emergency back up and update on Friday evening last week. At that time, many of your application status pages went from showing that we had received your GRE or MCAT scores to showing as an outstanding application item. Our IT department is working hard to restore those items correctly. Please allow a day or two for your checklist to be updated on the Application Status page.

For all others, if your VMCAS application has not yet been imported into our system, we encourage you to contact VMCAS to learn if your application has completed the verification process. File review began late last week and continues now. Candidates whose applications were submitted to VMCAS on or around the September 29th deadline can expect to hear from us regarding the processing of their application within the next three weeks.

Best of luck and please contact us directly with any questions or concerns regarding your application.

I haven't either. On my portal my application still says "sent to admissions for processing," but on here many people have said that their application is in review? Why are some in review and some are still being processed?

No idea but it sucks being on this end of the issue! haha
 
Still waiting on an interview Email... last Email I got said my app is still in committee review
 
AHHH It is happening! Now I'll be checking my email 2357389476204567 x per day instead of the normal 12758937604 since I applied LOL.
 
Just so everyone knows, I called admissions today and they said not to panic If your application status says sent to admissions for processing they likely have everything they need and it’s just gonna take time to process the hundreds of applications. They also said that they don’t prioritize applications and they process them in the order they are received. So the people that are already getting interviews don’t have a better shot at getting in just because they interview and found out first.... They basically just got all of their required paperwork in first and it was processed faster!
 
I got my stuff in nice and early, so that's a little discouraging. 🙁

Same, the supplemental I had turned in in July, my vmcas in early August...Still haven't got an email saying I'm in committee review🙁
