I don't think it's as rare as you're making it out to be, I was a wolf in the last 3 games I played. I skipped a couple games in there, so it wasn't actually three games in a row, but it happened. However, I agree that you wouldn't defend a fellow wolf this hard D1, so I don't think that's what's going on. I'm not getting sketch vibes from ny or LotF at the moment.

It wasn't handwaving, it was actually trying to talk about the game instead of people's avatars. The stats thing doesn't really matter anyway because Ny wasn't a wolf two games in a row already.
Do you really think that makes her sketchy, though? I doubt a wolf would want to bring attention to themselves by stealing someone's avatar. I know it's D1, but we still have to try to vote for people we think are wolves.it's not really that deep or complicated, I just felt it was a vague answer and I didn't like it. I didn't put all that much thought into it. It's the first day and I have to vote for someone.

There are plenty of reasons, one being trying to talk about stats as a giant distraction for any number of reasons. Perhaps to prevent villagers from actually analyzing play because everyone is discussing stats. Defending can lend to village points and it's easy to defend villagers because you know who's not a wolf.
I also dropped the stats conversation hours ago, and if you thinks stats aren't involved in ww, then you are really wrong. The only reason I went into depth about it was because AM said Ny had the same chance as any of us, and that isn't necessarily true.
They are not retaliatory (at least on my end). You did a strategy centered on ignoring last game. That's fine if you want to play like that, but now I personally will be making sure you stay talking this game. I am likely switching off of you, but don't be surprised if you are not a default vote starting off each day as added encouragement to talk.
