I gather from LIS' post that he thinks PP is suspicious and she has an abbreviated name and could fit with wolfspeaker's slip uo.

I also think you get to know the group targeted with that item.

Personally, I know there are some roles that are related to the cycles, so I would go that route.

Ah good catch - and Squirrels would def be one person WS would not be familiar with... I was going to go back and see who else was not playing in those games.

Yeah - this could be true - I think you are saying only certain wolves can attack on certain cycles - perhaps? I know that only certain roles work on certain cycles for villagers.

I Pmed a lot with her before because we have ben ghosts together. I'd think she would know my name after the many many PMs we have sent back and forth at that time..

Oh, and speaking of the Chamalla Plant--did anyone have it and use it last night? The more info we have about these items, the better, especially if DVM is going to play coy in giving us information. 😉 I'd be very interesting to see if it did give all names in forest terrain groups.

I agree, Wolfspeaker is not familiar with me because I haven't played in a long time, but I don't imagine wolfspeaker is too familiar with anyone since seems he gets eliminated first round everytime. Just because someone is familiar with someone's abbreviated name doesn't mean they know their full name. And how does pointing out the post that I spelled out my full name show that my name isn't out there and I'm suspicious because wolfspeaker didn't know my full name?
 
Ok I went back to the last 2 games to see who played and then try and deduce who WS was talking about as far as abbreviations:

These people did not play in the last 2 games

SOV

This list may be complete and utter BS, but true story that WS was in groups with SnS, LIS, & IPB, so most likely she had PMed them previously.
 
I'm gonna go take a shower and get some sleep because overnight shift and all. Probably not going to get on again before the deadline. My RNG happens to agree with general consensus on the thread as I'm seeing it right now, so lynch squirrels.

I did an RNG and it gave me FTB. Weird coincidink, because she has a shorted name, too. :laugh:

Honestly, even if wolfspeaker messed up and "outed" some wolves, I think it's totally acceptable to ask such a question. In terms of targeting those of us with letter abbreviation: We do not ALWAYS only abbreviate with letters - we abbreviate a LOT of people's names, just by shortening them, cutting them in half, etc (cuit, squirrels, lissa, zany, etc for example). Half the time, when I start typing in a name, I get about 10 different options from people with similar usernames and I don't know which is which.

However, I don't know how active a poster wolfspeaker is, or is she would have been expected to memorize everyone's correct spelling from other threads, or if it is possible that she wanted to make sure that those of us who have communicated more closely were not using familiar "word abbreviations" in the thread. Hell, I've played tons of games with D4L (?) and I *still* keep forgetting the numbers after his name

Basically, I'm saying that killing off everyone with letter-only abbreviations is a bad idea (and not just because I'm one of them).

What I don't get is why you sort of stuck up for WS when we were all discussing it, agree with the discussion about squirrels, and still use a RNG vote for FTB???

No, you're right that we abbreviate in a lot of ways, and while I think it's probable that one of the abbreviated is a wolf, randomly lynching all of them is not the way to go. We need to see if they're suspicious in other ways, too.

The only reason I would think squirrels is because a) wolfspeaker outright said that she needed to look up squirrels full name and b) squirrels wasn't even in her OR the tundra in general (her territory) sooo why would she need to type anything or post anything regarding squirrels on day 1?

Because, like I said, I felt bad that she never really got to play a WW game due to being lynched first in all of her games. And I was describing different scenarios as reasons for people to not jump at everything they see.

Also, I didn't read everyones posts until after I posted my RNG vote for FTB. I said what you quoted after my vote because that's when I read more about squirrels.
 
I didn't think the WS lynching was right, so I will just join in on squirrels.

Unlynch FTB, lynch squirrels as there are actual reasons to lynch her. No reason to stick to RNG if there is actual evidence for someone else.
