The last scene faded from view. First in an array of colors, and then to black. Without a Kailvan, there is no story (at least at this point in the story). And Kailvan is currently mortally wounded on the floor of the black chasm with nowhere to go.

Mortally wounded is Melchizedek, Kailvan, Villa-……..

Mechanistically, what does this mean: Lynch cycle will proceed as normal, but may be prone to some….. glitches that would otherwise not be possible. Specifically, anyone that mechanistically could NOT be lynched due to any sort of lynch avoidance CAN be lynched today and will die as a result (EXCLUDING THOSE NOT IN THE GAME). Another glitchy mechanic is that items can be used during the day cycle today (to take effect at the end of the day cycle). If Kailvan is still dead at the end of the day cycle, the game will jump ahead to ACT 2 automatically on the next day cycle, and a lengthy recap of what occurred during ACT 1 will become available following night actions. Regardless of if he is dead or alive at the end of the day cycle, the night will proceed as normal, at the same time in Act 1.

It is day 4: There are 30 people remaining in the game. There are 28 people able to vote. Lynch deadline is set for 10 pm est.

So @kcoughli and I wolfed with her in Lurking and I tried to bus her from D1. @Skimble was also a convert wolf, but didn't join the pack until after SAR died (her death was the conversion mechanism). Iirc she did defend my claims but was kind of dismissive with how she did it. I remember that me and KC were shocked at how long it took for her to actually get lynched and the running joke in wolf chat was "Why is SAR still alive?"

So let's make the assumption a villager brought mel back (I have no idea who actually did bring him back). The wolves wouldn't know whether he could be brought back or not, so I would think they would be worried SAR actually could be lynched yesterday. Does that make sense?

I get what you're saying, but idk if this would apply to an alpha. The exact mechanism was:

So I guess it depends on if we consider an alpha's ability to not get lynched to really be "lynch avoidance" or not. I only question it because this game there are specific characters (royalty) who seem to specifically have a lynch avoidance ability. Regardless, I think the first question to answer is do we try and lynch SAR again? If yes, then we may get our answer on if she's an alpha or not. If no, how much does this line of thought matter right now given how many different situations there could have been?

I mean in reading what you just quoted from Nav, it sounds pretty clearly like any lynch avoidances for players in the game were voided. So I see now what Ziggy was saying and I don't know why an alpha wouldn't be included in that, as it looks like there were no exceptions given.

Not in the game doesn't mean those players have lynch avoidance, it means they are not fully present in the game. The two things are very different.

Avoidance means an ability not to be lynched so she should apply unless the game is wolf-sided.

grebes was first on SAR D3, and remained there, if that impacts anything.
 
We may need to reconsider the alpha terminology and consider the royal thing.

"Additionally, voting has an extra stipulation. If a person is of royalty, royal blood, etc. they will not be able to be lynched, so long as the nation that they hail from is standing tall. If their nation were to be obliterated, destroyed, or occupied by another, they then become able to be lynched."

I don't have an inclination that any nation has been obliterated, destroyed, etc.

Lynch skim

I still think her early game comments felt off, and considering Mel's role, I am interested in more pressure on the people who were driving the idea of him being sketchy. Need to go back and look at who else that was besides skim, will try to do that later.

i'll buy that SAR is a wolf, and i see coffee's info as confirmation more than proof (if that makes sense?). like, not sure if coffee's info on its own would be enough, but in conjunction w SARs posts and the lynch avoidance, the role seer info is pretty damning.
on the same note, not sure i put enough stock in role names or the ability of role names to confirm affiliation, so not ready to buy coffee's vouch for zig based on role name alone (which is what i'm assuming this is based off of)

disagree. i'll go with the "if it doesn't die, lynch it twice" rule. not sure if i like how you are trying to discourage people from voting here.
from my experience, this seems like a pretty closely followed rule, so not sure why people seem to be debating it.

ziggy/coffee interactions are weird. not sure how i feel about them. especially with both of them pushing for SARs lynch yesterday.
if SAR is an alpha, very possible one or both of them could be wolfs trying to push a vote that they know won't do anything and make them look good i the process. if SAR does get lynched successfully, makes them both seem more village.

STILL after rereading I find Barks sketchy. Ugh. AM and Zig are village to me, as well as Pippy and Paws. Don’t know how to feel about covefe. I definitely see the arguments for lynching SAR again, but I don’t know with how flippant she seems on thread if that would actually do anything. You know what I’m just gonna go with my gut.

tbf, I'm strongly against this rule because:
a. it rarely works
b. whether it does or doesn't work, provides no additional info

Or maybe it was that I had just gotten home and had 10+ pages to catch up on (which I openly admit I still haven’t read) and I was feeling overwhelmed with the volume of posts I needed to read. I asked for a summary, coffee was the only one to give me anything, and I had reason to believe her, so I went with the only info I had. Maybe you think that is lazy, but it was the most effective way I could handle it given the amount of time I had, and how much I dislike to new sdn on my phone (which is how I play 90% or more of most games.)

I voted for mel d1 as a joke.

Look, I get why many of you are voting for me. I’ve been very overwhelmed with the post volume this game, combined with irl stuff. In general I don’t like the beginning of games until it gets down to a more manageable number of players. With this new sdn, I’m having a hard time keeping track of who is saying what while on mobile.

That said, zj, cof?, miz and Mel are at the top of my village reads. I’m out at the store and I’ll come back and vote later when I have a little more time to think. I’d be ok with a sar lynch today because it seems like the best time to test the theory of her being lynchable since we are still at a stage where deaths are low.

Just a reminder too, I was attacked one night. That attack lead to me being unable to use anything but passive abilities the following night. I’m not sure if I was attacked with the intent to be killed or if the block was the intent. The word attack was used in my pm from the mods.
 
So I think I understand why Skilary's sketchy given her posting and voting behavior since it's increasingly looking to be similar to her wolf play before. I feel that village Skilary's a lot more persistent and confident while wolf Skilary's more quiet and reserved. However, I'd like to see more from her and her thoughts today @Skimble

Don't be a brat. You're either playing dumb or misunderstanding what I am saying, and I'm too tired today to deal with the former.

You started talking about your rules for things last game when the extra kills happened, and I think it is fair for me to bring it up when you appear to be doing something similar.

We have been through this. Up until 10 minutes left, SAR WOULD have been able to get lynched. Do you just suppose we somehow brought Mel back in order to not get SAR lynched? 😕

My attack did not mention allowing me to keep passive abilities, but then again I don’t have any.
