This is why I can only mod with KDY'all are witnessing what happens when neither mod likes tallying
I’m game@Melchizedek @Crayola227 @genny @The_Breadmann
I know it's a lot of reading. I'm sorry. The tl;dr summarizes it pretty well.
We haven't considered Barks really at all.
I'm really convinced I'm right. I'm also certain that AM won't listen to me on this. But I'd appreciate your thoughts, and I really, really think we should vote here today.
You've only offered me rectal temperature taking and I prefer points to butt stuff.How come you don’t want my rewards
But have you considered that I always ask people questions in every game? I’ve also shared my thoughts multiple timesOf note, she'll ask packmates lots of questions (and other people lots of questions) that make it look like she's trying to game solve, but when you go through her posts, she's actually doing minimal or no analysis.
Well I said I was going to go back to look at end of D1 to clarify things for myself, which I did.This morning, she pulled a bunch of quotes, trying to look helpful I assume, and wrote little snippets under it.
If think if I was a wolf, it would’ve been a lot easier to just wolf read Cubs from the beginning and it wouldn’t have been hard to justify itThe leading village wagon, if I'm right, was cubs, and she'd been village reading him.
But anyone who was paying attention could have read that exchange and came to the conclusion that alley likely wouldn’t be yeeted any time soonI have a feeling that this exchange, combined with my not believing sloth's protector claim, is why alley died.
The fact that it didn’t sound like a block was the reason for voting for cyndia. If it was a block it would’ve cleared her but something that’s not a block is not clearingAgrees with me that it doesn't sound like a block, butttttttt then gets on the Cyndia wagon anyway and doesn't get off.
I never said it was salt. I said it because it made me laugh to myselfBarks pinged me right off the bat with this because I thought it was a strange vote given that her most recent game with Dina was LaWWpy, and as I mentioned earlier, there was no real reason for salt. I don't think much of D1 first votes, but it was the first ping I got of the game.
As I said before, I was going through the end of D1 and that’s where the tally was from and why it does not include D2 or 3Then she provided the D1 Vote tally, but not D2 or 3, which subconsciously could have been a way to also get people to remember that she was the very first one to vote sloth, making her look pretty good
You've shared surface-level thoughts. It's hardly the kind of analysis or push that I've seen from village!Barks in previous games, even when I account for you not being around. Much more the kinds of thoughts that wolves trying to put out fake reads share.But have you considered that I always ask people questions in every game? I’ve also shared my thoughts multiple times
Sure, it would have been a lot easier - at first. But then if/when cubs flipped village, if you'd been pushing him hard from the beginning, that would look pretty suspicious too. With someone who is often a misyeet, sometimes it's better to wait for village to eat them alive and you sit back village-leaning them, and then push the people who had pushed the misyeet when it happened. Didn't happen in this game, so didn't get the payoff from it. But you did get the payoff from the unexpected D1 bussing for a bit.Well I said I was going to go back to look at end of D1 to clarify things for myself, which I did.

Sure - but I don't think that's why she was killed. I think wolves were looking for the reason that I (and others) didn't believe the protector claim. alley was a good place to start.But anyone who was paying attention could have read that exchange and came to the conclusion that alley likely wouldn’t be yeeted any time soon
I'm not claiming you said it was salt. I'm saying that I thought it was a weird vote.I never said it was salt. I said it because it made me laugh to myself

I stand by my previous comment about her early playbarks’ questions are all superficial and obvious follow up questions, reads like LAMIST. I’m keeping an eye on her.
Think about what happened in Basics. Barks didn't play that game, but the other 2 wolves did (though sloth was village in that game), and it's eerily similar. The whole reason I started thinking about Barky was because I had that same niggling feeling in the back of my brain when I was looking at my POE - where it seemed as simple as "we just go through the POE and we're in good shape!" but then I could make a point on each person in the POE for why they didn't make sense.I am listening to your argument, for the record. I just struggle with why someone would risk their cred in this situation. please seems like the much safer bus option if you're going to bus at all. So just very confused overall.
Well, I don't think I can say anything that will prevent the yeet at this point. I stand by this being a move you cannot repeat more than once a year and have it work, but I don't know what wolves are thinking in terms of strategy. I wouldn't do it, but it's not up to me.Think about what happened in Basics. Barks didn't play that game, but the other 2 wolves did (though sloth was village in that game), and it's eerily similar. In Basics, we cleared people based on their D1 votes. And 1 wolf in the pack - Vissy - actually bussed 2 different wolves that day. Actually, interestingly, in that game as well, please was the one wolf who DIDN'T bus. The bus depot was unexpected, and it worked to trick us, and I think it's what's happening here again.
cubs and I talked a bit about Barky's D1 vote on the previous page. She wasn't around that much, and she threw the vote on Sloth at 7:02, 2 hours before yeet close, with no votes there already. Seemed like an extremely safe bus to make, when you think about it, and then if/when sloth flipped, she could cruise on the credit from it. But then Zenge got on the vote at 7:38, and Cray hopped on at 8:11. Barks only posted ONCE between when Zenge got on the vote and otherwise didn't post again until after yeet close. Think about how strange it would have looked for her to get off the vote as soon as someone else got on - like she was putting a vote somewhere but then got cold feet about any sort of pressure being applied there. I don't think she really had a choice to stay there once she was on it. It almost worked to clear her because it was such an unexpected move, but it's the kind of thing that we've seen before.
I keep bringing up Basics because I'm lightly traumatized from that game, but this is the exact kind of thing we let slide in that game and it ultimately destroyed us. Assuming that we have the same NK pattern as we've been having (with 1 kill per night), we have 2 misyeets before we're in trouble.
I don't think Barks is a misyeet. I think she's the last wolf, and I will tunnel her until I die. If you have any faith in me at all, please think about voting there. I led village to catastrophic loss in Basics ignoring things like this, and I LEARNED from it.
I was hesitant to vote for sloth the second day because, like others, I wanted to give them a chance to post and explain and to make sure it wasn’t just D1 sketchinessThink about what happened in Basics. Then think about her apparent reluctance to get on the sloth vote the next day, even though sloth hadn't done anything to seem less sketchy after please's flip. It stinks of a packmate not actually wanting to bus their remaining packmate into the ground.

Weaksauce. I don't buy it.I was hesitant to vote for sloth the second day because, like others, I wanted to give them a chance to post and explain and to make sure it wasn’t just D1 sketchiness
shorty pls a lot of people seem so sketchy D1 and then improve after the first day. Sloth hadn’t posted really at all since the day before so I was seeing if that held true for them tooWeaksauce. I don't buy it.
If that's the case, then why did you vote her on D1 at all?shorty pls a lot of people seem so sketchy D1 and then improve after the first day. Sloth hadn’t posted really at all since the day before so I was seeing if that held true for them too
I had the most feels there D1. On D2, I wanted to evaluate further and see if sloth had anything to say to help my feelings of sketchiness and they did notIf that's the case, then why did you vote her on D1 at all?
Why did you kill Zenge, Barky? Was it because he burned you so bad in LaWWpy?I had the most feels there D1. On D2, I wanted to evaluate further and see if sloth had anything to say to help my feelings of sketchiness and they did not
shorty, I did not kill Zenge.Why did you kill Zenge, Barky? Was it because he burned you so bad in LaWWpy?
Apparently genny wants some more spice up in here soooo
Yeet genny
Mild feels
See that’s actually something I was going to do but sloth beat me to it. So I saw that more as early joking around.
That’s exactly what it was
I honestly didn't read anything into cubs' comment there because I know from previous games how much cubs enjoys making jokes (and I tend to find them wolfy no matter his aff). Sloth's response there had pinged me for the reason you mentioned - it felt unnecessary for her to comment at that point, she could have just left it alone but felt the need to jump in with that extra bit of defense. It's been a while since I played with her, but I didn't recall her reacting all that much to getting sussed as a villager. Doesn't read to me like an interaction that gives any aff info about cubs, tbh.@supershorty @Animal Midwife
What do you think of this exchange:
I was thinking this was Cubs trying to pull heat from Cray off of sloth and if sloth wasn’t a noob wolf I would say the last post was overkill and probably sounds like a wolf using a villager to dig themselves out of trouble. But noob wolves be noobing and I’m wondering if it was just sloth overplaying the defense.
I can't read anything into it. It looks like something that could be said as either affiliation.@supershorty @Animal Midwife

If barks flips village who do we consider tomorrow? Can we mass claim tomorrow because we have at least two PR’s that would clear themselves, I’ve already said I’m VT. I actually am coming around to the blocker claiming today and giving us the targets for the nights since sloth’s vote.I can't read anything into it. It looks like something that could be said as either affiliation.
I’ve been scouring the write ups looking for anything that would hint at 3p or another faction and haven’t seen anything like that. Doesn’t mean it’s not there and I missed it, but I have been looking.If barks flips village who do we consider tomorrow? Can we mass claim tomorrow because we have at least two PR’s that would clear themselves, I’ve already said I’m VT. Are we sure there’s only one left? There’s no possibility of it being a 3rd party left? A lot of the POE narrowing has come from VCA but those two possibilities would throw VCA out the window.
Without VCA, I’m still comfortable with voting Barks.
Genny’s most damning thing right now is VCA
Cubs continues to sketch me out but now it’s all based on relational tells with noob wolves, which is kinda tenuous because noob wolves don’t always make the most logic.
I started the vote on Sloth. And my VCA is damning?!?Genny’s most damning thing right now is VCA
Why?massclaims scare me
Personally like the idea of getting bussed than bussing. Catching up right nowThinking about this more and looking at my vote tracker, I think a wolf!Bread is more unlikely than when I made this post this morning.
When Bread voted, this was the tally:
please (2) - AM, shorty
Dina ()
shorty ()
Barky ()
AM (2) - genny, Mel
genny ()
Spooky ghost ()
Mel ()
Bread (1) - Cyndia
Cray (1) - alley
cubs ()
He then voted please to push her to 3. With multiple viable wagons, and only 2 votes on the leading ones at the time, he very easily could have gone elsewhere with his vote, started a new wagon, or added momentum to a village wagon already on the board. But he didn't - he voted for please. That was just under 5 hours before yeet close.
please didn't vote until quite a bit later - just about an hour and a half before yeet close, and the tally was this at that time:
please (5) - AM, shorty, Bread, Dina, Sloth;
Dina ();
shorty ();
Barky ();
AM (2) - genny, Mel;
genny ();
Spooky ghost ();
Mel ();
Bread (2) - Cyndia, cubs;
Cray ();
cubs ();
alley ();
Sloth (1) - Barky
So at that point, sloth has already panic-bussed and the wagon is taking off. I talked about this in the post I quoted so I'm not going to repeat myself, but I hadn't looked at the timing for Bread's vote.
Idk. Just doesn't feel that likely to me coming from someone without a history of bussing.
Because it tells the wolves who to kill and when + adds a darker layer to WIFOM. It's different it it's an open or semi-open setup, but closed has so many variables.Why?
Well, technically, Barks started the sloth vote. You were fourth.I started the vote on Sloth. And my VCA is damning?!?
How do you feel about what I pointed out in my ISO about her throwing the vote down and then not being around other than immediately after Zenge jumped on it? It would have looked hella weird for her to get off there.That's the #1 reason I can't make myself vote there still.
I know you believe that. I'm just having trouble reconciling the strategy behind that. Maybe no one would have even gone after sloth that cycle if her wagon hadn't existed to begin with.How do you feel about what I pointed out in my ISO about her throwing the vote down and then not being around other than immediately after Zenge jumped on it? AM, I really, truly believe she’s the last wolf.
And yet I voted there before her the next day 🤔Well, technically, Barks started the sloth vote. You were fourth.
I don't know. It's just hard for me to overlook the first part. I'm extremely conflicted because I feel like I choosing between trusting your gut and trusting prior game history (which may or may not actually be applicable here).How do you feel about everything else in the ISO and subsequent posts?
I don't think that her post style has really changed to reflect a convert though. (Although she has been ISOing a lot in a game she swore that she was not going to ISO in) And in HZD she ran solo.I’m game
But if it’s not barks I’m starting to get flashbacks to HZD where you were running village just like you are now and I’m paranoid they converted you.
I HAVE POOR SELF CONTROL OKAY(Although she has been ISOing a lot in a game she swore that she was not going to ISO in)

I just can't make it make sense. She could get off if the wagoners made her uncomfortable. Bonus points if she moved to please. That'd get verifiable double cred if bussing was the plan.
That's Stagg level bussing. And it scares me.
If that's the reason, we're talking the difference between a one vote wagon versus a three vote wagon. Which would not have looked like a realistic counter to please and possibly bought sloth time until at least D3.With the way things were going, I really think Zenge would have voted there regardless of barks starting it up. Then cray followed on I guess because she already saw 2 votes there.
