Sorry guys, I got distracted by ridiculousness in the lounge game and came back to ... ridiculousness in this game.

Cdo, why would you expect that claiming you rezzed someone with an item would force the actual, other, mysterious, probably non-existent rezzer to out themselves? Like, what?

I would have swapped off you because there is no level of WIFOM that would explain why a wolf would rez a villager, and I've been getting a generally village vibe off the two rezzes, but sheesh.

It made sense to me. Imagine you were the rezzer and someone claimed to have resurrected someone. How would you react?

I have a guess about her reasoning here but I'll let cdo talk about her thoughts a little more before I share it

ALSO let’s say that I was actually the rezzer and that I lied about using an “item” but it’s really just me. What wolf would believe that it was just an item. And then also, if I had another rezz, it just got wasted.

Well class seems, there was a lot of squabbling over who could use what ingredients in their baked goods tonight. Maybe some hoarding as well. It didn't help you very much either. It seems all your baked goods were terrible. Definitely didn't match up to the standards we hope you will achieve. Seems you all decided it was best to try to tie things up. Well, I like ties. Ties are fun! But I don't know if you'll agree 😏

Hm. I'm not sure what to make of this. When I was rezzed, part of my rez PM said "There seems to be a distinct yeast smell in the air tonight. "

Seems weird to me ... cdoconn is obviously claiming to have rezzed VMH with that, but at least based on description that's a one-time dealio ... so why did my rez message talk about yeast?

I had the same flair in my rez message. I had been guessing her description of the item might have meant it could only be used once by the person who had gotten it RNG'd to them, but I'm not sure. What's more curious to me is there's an easy way to solve some of this confusion and it's to have whoever rezzed you with the item claim it on thread. Wonder if they're waiting until it's no longer in their possession but I believe they shouldn't have it anymore anyway as I think items are redistributed once night cycle ends

My own personal theory is that there are PRs. I have no actual proof, but there's two things that are suggestive to me. They're both weak, but....

The first is that my role specifically said vanillager.

The second is that I'm interpreting at least one player as hinting at having a PR.

Either of those could easily be over-interpretation, though.
 
Does someone want to admit to rezzing LIS with the yeast?

Because if it is an item that is getting distributed, you are not outing your own role, so there should be no risk at this point
 
So for vets who have played more than my measly two games, what are the different tie mechanics you’ve seen in your games? So far I’ve only heard of killing everyone with the most number of votes (so Snowy and VA would have died) or using RNG to decide between the top vote-getters (so it would have been 50/50 between Snowy and VA for who died). I think if a “RNG between everyone in case of tie” mechanic is unheard of then and only then we should consider an item or ability.

This is why I need to look at lynch results before writing things.
*erases original post about CDO's logic and VMH's vouch*

Basically, VMH's vouch tied her alignment to CDO's, and was delivered too late to actually save CDO. That means that

(1) CDO and VMH are both villagers - CDO rezzed and VMH returned as a villager
(2) CDO is a wolf who revived VMH as a villager for villager cred. VMH vouched because she has no reason to believe otherwise. However, if CDO did it for cred, then she would have revealed a lot earlier.
(3) Tinfoil had theory: CDO is a necromancer role that starts at one member and revives people into new roles in the faction, hence the name change. VMH felt the need to protect her new alpha, and so vouched. Alphas usually have bonus powers like avoiding lynch, and VMH thought her vouch would make CDO look less shady after her survival.

Original post was about why I believed (1) more than the others. With CDO surviving lynch, (3) is now more possible. I'll sleep on it.

The lack of plasticity in my aging brain makes it REALLY FRICKING HARD for me to remember that Egg refers to you. I wish nicknames at least vaguely resembled the username. Sigh.

Trilt also claimed knowledge of a few items and had the same theory as Meats; given that we've only seen vanillagers thus far I'm inclined to think they are correct.

Someone else claiming LIS rez would reduce my pursuit of necromancer faction theory.

I think cdo probably held the item info close to her chest for a little too long, but if you consider that I was rezzed as a N1 action I understand at least the initial instinct to not share it on thread because at that point the item and role mechanics in this game still weren't abundantly clear - in other words, still reasonable to expect that there could have been power roles she didn't want to accidentally out.

With that being said, not sure why she hung onto that info for this long. Could have been unlucky with RNG and hasn't gotten an item again yet (as I kind of believe the more items you receive in this game the more clear this game mechanic becomes) but I think there's an abundance of items in this game and would be a little surprised if she hadn't gotten at least one other item up to this point.

I have a theory about PRs in this game too but suffice to say if they are out there they should hold that information very close to the chest.

I've seen ties resolved all sorts of ways. My favorite is when somebody has the butt monkey role and dies instead of the lynch candidates in the event of a tie no matter what.
 
And does anyone think it would be possible that Cray was also modkilled? I can see Stella for sure, but Cray only hopped on today at the last minute.

Crayons created the tie so that’s probably why she died.

Rng = random number generator. Throw everyone’s names in and click a button and the computer picks a name

So how could it have raised by me and VMH?

Somewhere there's some B.S. going on. Can't (Shouldn't?) have had both VMH *and* me rezzed by that.
