I've just started studying for my MCAT again a few days ago, and was curious how other people planned out their days and what were some things you all did to make 5+ hours of study per day not feel so long and feel like you still have a life! So far it hasn't felt bad at all, but i'm always looking for improvement!

So far my schedule is:
9am:Wake-up & Shower
10:00:Eat Breakfast & Prep Lunch
11:30am-6:30pm: Study at the library(the library near me opens so late)
6:30pm: Chill
8:30:Dinner
10:Sleep

4am - 5am = wake up and do 5-7 pages of content review of TBR.
5 - 5:45= go over schoolwork material
5:50 - 6:30 = exercise
6:30 - 7:00 = shower and leave home
7:15 - 8:30 = get to school
8:30 - 9:30 = waste time (i try not to do this but happens every damn time)
9:30 - 10:30 = 7 pages of TBR MCAT content review
10:30 - 10:45 = break
11:00 - 12:00pm = schoolwork
12:00 - 1:00pm = 7 pages of TBR MCAT content review
1:00 - 4:30 = classes
4:30 - 5:30 = break
5:30 - 6:45 = get home

etc..... just the schedule ive been on for some time now. waking up at 4 gives me so much more productive time in the day. It does mean that I go to sleep pretty early (9:30 to about 10 pm), but it's worth it.

How long are you giving yourself to study?
And your mornings starts off fast usually my exercise/shower/breakfast takes about 2hrs!

Wake up at 10 or 11 or so, get out of bed and shower.
Eat lunch
Get to library before 1
Study until 8-9PM depending on when I get to the library
Get dinner sometime
Stay up until 2 AM working on summer applications and extracurricular stuff
Sleep & repeat

The only time this changes is when I'm doing a practice test. Then I force myself to wake up at 7 and start testing at 8. Not my favorite days, as you might be able to tell.

Y'all are much more rigid than I am hahaha.

I haven't actually timed how many hours I dedicate purely to the MCAT, but I will starting from tomorrow and I'll get back to you. Yea lol, my mornings are pretty crazy, but if you think about it as getting a ton of stuff done before most people are even awake, it gives you a whole other feeling. I highly recommend trying it out. If you have to, take some melatonin and go to sleep early.

I'm assuming this is a jab at me, but whatever. you seem to be a late-night person which is fine. I'm not, which is why you're staying up til 2am is equivalent to my waking at 4...

I study best in the AM, so I started super early.

What time is your actual exam?

Yeah your totally right, plus knocking things out early in the day stops you from pushing it back until late and not actually doing it. A wise mentor once told me "there are almost no distractions early in the morning, no parties, no events, nothing!"

By the looks of it, you sleep for 11 hours. Do you need that much or can you get less and still be as productive? If so, that will give you some extra time to do things (study, chill, etc.) :)
