Same here. I JUST got my notification. They sent it to my old address (moved out of my apartment last week). I had broke down and called in the mean time to learn my status but still...lol. I'm now waiting for a reply from Parks that she got my response. I hope the lateness of my reply doesn't affect things...

In other news, I need to sign my lease soon or I'll lose the place I've spent weeks applying to. I've been avoiding it, but I think I'll have to give Pritzker a call soon and let them know that in another few weeks, I just won't be able to make a switch financially.

This really sucks. 🙁

the Tom Thibodeau pick for the new Bulls coaching job looked a whole lot better after tonight. can't wait until they get LeBron this summer!

but anyway...i can't sleep. im having nightmares of what my life would be like without Pritzker :scared:

Lebrroonnn! :laugh: You know there's an issue if you look forward to weekdays instead of weekends because you know Pritzker only calls on weekdays lol
 
I don't post much but I needed to say this--the dedication on this thread is amaaaaazing! 🙂

.So I just got this e-mail at 1:00 today asking if I was still interested in Pritzker. I was really excited when I read this and when I called Joni, I was expecting an acceptance. She said she would be able to let me know something either way in the next couple of days. . .not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I feel like that would be pretty lame if I got that e-mail and then ended up getting rejected in the next couple of days. Did anyone else get this??

Woweee! Ridiculous amount of action today! Congrats ballin! And JT, I did NOT receive that notification. It can only be good news. Crazy that they told you you'd know EITHER way... Does that mean possible rejection 😕 I assumed that we would be doing a little more waiting before that...

In short, it can only be good for you 🙂 :luck:
 
Based on my speculation, here is what I'm thinking:

That e-mail I received was sent to me and probably a limited number of other waitlisters because the adcom is interested in one of us filling whatever spots have recently opened up. But before making a decision on this limited group of waitlisters, they want to make sure that those they are considering still want to go to Pritzker. So when I was told I will find out something "either way", I am guessing it is either acceptance or still on the waitlist. . .I doubt rejection already.

Bummmp. Just because it's getting closer to 1:00PM/2:00PM and the calls have been typically going out at that time! So sad that I know this. :laugh: Getting a little down though because I didn't receive one of those awesome emails sent out asking again if you want to remain on the WL. 🙁 Props to JT though!

Hey BB, I'm still around!!! Just laying low these days...I decided to limit my time on this thread bc I was starting to go crazy. I shifted coping strategies and now I'm basically embracing the school I'm currently scheduled to attend this fall. I'm moving in mid-July so time is just about up for me. Pritzker has officially been put on the back burner (*cue violins*). Sad, but true friends!! This thread will always have a special place in my heart though!!!

And who knows...I'm still alive and there could in fact be a curveball--but at this point, it's just not beneficial/smart to neglect formalizing the new plans.

Again I say...this thing is crazy until the end...

I hear ya. Crazy crazy process. Come back and visit so that you can still chime in on how awesome the Blackhawks are and what a bunch of thugs the Flyers are :laugh: Or at least... you best be a Blackhawks fan instead of a Flyers fan :meanie:

I'm about to completely expose my out-of-touchness, but here goes...Not only could I not tell you the difference between a Blackhawk and a Flyer, but I couldn't even tell you which sport they play.

So, obviously for me, no news. 🙁 anyone else hear of any withdrawals or WL movement?
 
no news so far from my end...pritzker's class is small so there's probably much less waitlist movement than other schools. i guess right now our waitlist movement depends on the waitlist movement from other schools. another school im waitlisted at told me that students have two weeks to decide which school they want to attend. so if acceptances were given out around june 1st then theoretically we might be hearing something around mid-june. but this is just my concluding assumption after many sleepless nights during the past month or so. also it seems as if no one's been taken off the waitlist so far, only the continued list. on the podcast it said that waitlist movement could range from 3 students to around 28. but then again, im not sure how many people are on the waitlist. pritzker interviews a lot of people for such a small class. even though waitlist movement has slowed down, i'm still feeling pretty hopeful only because the pritzker waitlist isn't ranked. at other schools the waitlists are ranked, so once a person withdraws they just move down the list. I feel that at pritzker once someone withdraws the committee sits down and takes a good solid look at potential replacements. Therefore, it may take them a little longer to get back people.


Right? What do you guys think? 😕

so that e-mail was kind of what i thought. . .I ended up getting accepted today! I'm 95% going. . .just sorting out finances now, but there's a good chance i will be at pritzker. While I'm really excited, it pains me to take a spot from you guys. You are so passionate about the school, and I hope the best for you. Be happy with wherever you are going as of now (I assume most of you are accepted somewhere else) because you are going to be a doctor either way. But if pritzker ends up accepting you, then even better! It will all work out no matter where you end up. I love your attitude and hope pritzker comes through for you!

Rough day thinking about my dwindling chances. I've written so many LOIs and have kept them updated and sometimes I just feel like it doesn't mean anything and it gets me down.

Not sure if this will make you feel better (I hope it does) BUT until the day you start classes at your new place, there is still a chance and also, if the worst should happen, the game is far from over...in 3 years time, you'll be doing the search all over again, except for residency spots. Aaaand as we all know...med school creates the doctor but residency makes the doctor. You're gonna be great no matter what!! (and everyone else still hold on too!).

I'm sending so much luck/positive vibes your way BB! Faithful to the end! :luck:
