One main factor that can affect the length of your individual turn around time is how fast your interviewers get in your interview feedback evaluation. Think about it - you had 3 interviews. The MD's are super busy people, the med students are, well, med students ... we have other things going on, and the admissions people, well they are probably on top of their crap so blame the MD's and med students. I personally don't do interviews because I would take too long to get the feedback in. But I know people who can sit on a feedback for 1-2 weeks when the turnaround time is supposed to be 2 days. Now, I know that can be frustrating to hear, but, in the end it does get done. That can account for some of the variability between different applicants.
