I think someone might have already said it earlier in the thread, but what percentage of acceptance spots is given with the initial batch of decisions that comes out in January, which will include people who interviewed August-December/early January?

Just wondering...

What time did your interview day end?

+1
Interviewing in February and kind of nervous about how many spots will be available 😕

so conflicted about whether or not to cancel my interview and withdraw my application. this will be good for other applicants and will save me time and traveling costs since i already was in nyc for a couple other interviews a while back but einstein did not give me the option of scheduling them together. conflicted because i have not heard back from schools i definitely preferred over einstein yet. i did hear back from a school that i would not mind going to over einstein. so stressful. i think i'll withdraw. good luck to everyone

Personally, I don't think you should withdraw until you're 100% sure you'd attend elsewhere no matter the costs. If you can, and if it won't set you up for an automatic waitlist spot, why not schedule the Einstein interview after decisions from your other schools are supposed to come out? Basically, if you're not 100% sure in your decision, don't withdraw. Of course other students would be happy about it, but they aren't you and as an applicant you need to do what's best for you and only you.

anyone get in yet? I know einstein started sending out acceptances around this time last year

I believe they said decisions are coming out January 15th

Thats the official date they give every year, but every year they manage to send out some decisions before the holidays too so I'm hoping this year isn't any different :luck:

How do they let people know? Email or call or owl?

Last year it was an email saying save the date and congrats! Although an owl would be pretty awesome :owle:

Any idea when this year's first are coming? It wasn't today 🙁 It's been over 3.5 months since I interviewed, and I'm so excited still 😍

Any recent interview invites? When were you complete?

If you skim through this thread or any other school specific thread, you will realize that a month of waiting is nothing ...

same here...just another silent rejection school to curse out in your sleep lol

Sao when are these first acceptances being sent out? Anyone on the inside?

First wave of acceptances is sent out on January 15th. Second wave is at the end of the year

Do we know if they are sticking to that date this year? I've read that in past years they've done it before New Years.

I got my acceptance end of December last year. Official first date of acceptances is jan 15. Not sure what it'll be like this year though

are acceptances put out on a rolling basis after Jan 15? Or are there just two release dates - one in january and one at the end of the cycle...?

I was hoping decisions would be coming out today since they came out on the 22nd last year... I think today is the first day the office has been open since the 22nd?

Yea me too. Perhaps tomorrow?!

Last year the unofficial acceptances were sent out Dec 22. And then an official follow up email was sent Jan 15.

I think they will do that again this year.. But not sure when they are going to send out that first email, or they just might not this year...

Also they had welcoming events for the early accepted towards end of January. (A party in LA and NYC, a really swanky social club in manhattan)

Not to be super cynical, but hurricane Sandy canceled a lot of interviews this year. This makes earlier decisions less likely as the applicants are being processed later.

Hey guys, I apologize for not keeping up with the forum. But how is Einstein with financial aid? My reason for asking, is that I got accepted to my state school and have an interview at Einstein in January. I'm wondering if it's worth going.

Anyone? Bueler?

Hi, current student at einstein here. Just wanted to let you know that einstein can be extremely generous with their financial aid. They offer several scholarships to accepted students. One called the service and research scholarship that's given to a bunch of students can supposedly go as high as full tuition. A few of my friends here have gotten 25k-30k a year from this.

Hope this helps

Daymmmm

I'm interviewing at Einstein in a couple weeks and will be traveling from Philadelphia. Does anybody have any suggestions on whats the best way to go about this?
My interview is in the afternoon and don't need to be on campus until 11:30. Right now, I am considering buying a megabus or bolt bus ticket to the city and then cabbing from there.

Not sure where you'll arrive in NYC, but if you're in Manhattan you can jump on the express bus as mentioned somewhere in past posts. It stops at a bunch of places starting around grand central and goes all the way up central park with stops every few blocks and drops you at the foot of the admissions office.
