Hey Botasky,

I don't know if you got this info yet but from what I read and heard at the interview, they interview roughly 300 students and accept about 250. So post interview acceptances are high. They really emphasized the fact that they screen applications pre-interview. Hope this helps and good luck!!!

@kalvin008 Thanks for the info. I can't wait until Wednesday. Does anyone know how long after the interview they send out acceptances/rejections/waitlist info?

I interviewed on the 27th and they said expect to hear back around April 15th give or take, so between 2 - 3 weeks.

Wooot!! I wound up not even submitting the secondary here, but I have been "tuning in" to this thread every so often just to see this news! So glad you got it, sweetness! Your tenacity is to be admired. I know you will be a humble, committed, passionate doctor and a major force within your community. Congratulations, and best of luck going forward!

Congrats to all applicants who have been invited for an interview and those who were accepted. Good luck to the applicants still waiting. Stay prayed up and remain optimistic. I give all praises and glory to God. I was accepted to Howard University yesterday and it still hasnt hit me yet. I feel like I'm dreaming. It feels good to be a bison.

Interview tomorrow. Extremely anxious even though I've heard the interview day is very relaxed. I really really really want to go here and I hope I can convey that tomorrow.

Thank you. I just came from the interview and I am glad I filled out an app for Howard. This school embodies everything I wanted from a medical school from its mission to the population it serves and even the familial atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly, warm, and welcoming. The interview was very low stress and very conversational as people have said. I really hope I get in here. I would accept without hesitation!

I just received the email today stating that a decision has been made, so hopefully in a few short days I'll be joining you all in the Class of 2017! (As an aside, about how long was the wait in between emails?)

I'm certain this is the most uplifting thread I've come across on SDN. So, even if I don't get in this year, I know I'll have some awesome upperclassmen to look up to! 😍
