I interpreted that email to mean they were switching to another application service - not necessarily changing the prompts. I'm completely with you and hope they keep the prompts the same!
Definitely got a little too excited about that email. 🙄
Unverified as of now, but got the email. It says they don't send secondaries out until you're verified, so why even send the email? Confusing.
How long does it take to get verified? Mine says its ready for review as of July 1st....
Probably early next week, AMCAS is on 6/29 submissions now.
How did you find this out?
There is a verification thread in the pre-med forum, where people post their submission/verification dates.
If you go to the AMCAS login page it also says the date that they are currently verifying, updates every morning.

For question 2, is that asking if you are URM? I'm curious because it has the option to choose 'no'..
Diversity is not just about race. It's up to you to decide whether you are diverse or not though.

For question 1, does anyone think it's appropriate to either give updates on your application you have since submitting AMCAS, or write a short "why Tufts" essay. With 1000 characters it's probably not enough to do both though...
I wonder if they're screening pre secondary to make up for lost time if people haven't gotten them yet.
I wouldn't check no, I'm a white jewish kid from upper middle class area and wrote about my jewish heritage. Got in interview, we all add to the diversity in certain ways.
Yeah nothing here yet. I got all their emails though about their delays and stuff.

Still nothing here. I wonder why some people would get it already and not others. Maybe because I am OOS?

Who knows.. I am in-state and have gotten nothing.
I would watch out for the wording - it's asking how you think you can contribute, not if you are necessarily diverse yourself. For me, the way I look at it changes how I write about myself, but that's another can of worms..

Received and submitted. Only waiting on Drexel and I'll finally be done with secondaries.
got the secondary this morning- anyone applying to the maine track? i'm debating because i have family there but not sure i'd want to spend all of third year in rural maine...
still waiting on my secondary...Tufts' got 2 days! They promised by the 10th! 😀
They also promised July 23rd: "We have received your application to Tufts University School of Medicine from AMCAS. We will be inviting you to apply via our Secondary Application beginning the week of July 23, 2012."
Same here... but they said "by the end of next week (August 10th) at the latest" so tomorrow should be the lucky day (hopefully).

I just got my secondary. Is anyone else having an issue with application fee section being marked as complete? I paid and got the confirmation e-mail but I may have closed out instead of hitting the "finish" button. Should I contact the admissions committee or is there someone who is incharge of their website?
