So, we are at about the one month mark in until decisions are sent. I wish they would just let us know already. I mean there has to be some idea of who is getting in, right?

They should at least know half of the acceptances they will be sending out. Who knows though. I interviewed so long ago I would be surprised if they still remember who I was hahaha

Another wave of acceptances came out today so check your inboxes if you interviewed recently!

Just about 2 weeks left till we find out! Hope you're all stressing about it less than me 😀

My prediction is decisions sent out on the 12th or 13th.

Hey, do any of you know whether we will get an email or if the decisions are sent through the postal service on March 15th?

I interviewed in October and this wait is killing me lol

Email was how the applicants were notified last year. I can only assume it will be the same this year.

Yep. Last year we got an email on the 13th saying whether we were accepted, waitlisted, or rejected. If you're waitlisted your waitlist number is in the letter they send, not in the email.

Thank you for the response. Hopefully, it will be "ACCEPTED" for us😀 . I am ready to start actually planning my life past May ha

Do you guys have other acceptances?

I know how you feel, anytime I interview for a job they ask "do you anticipate anything that could interfere with your employment in the next six months?" Then I mention I'm waiting to hear from med school and I just get disqualified 🙁

Do you guys have other acceptances?
Nope, which sucks but UNM has always been my #1 so hopefully I get in this year.

Not yet. I am on the wait-list for Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. But UNM is my top pick. What about you?

lol yea. I was asked to take a promotion at work. However, it would require me training in a couple of areas and I wanted to be honest and say that if I got into school, then I would be leaving. Needless to say, they went with someone else ha.

The admissions office said that they will send out letters via conventional mail on the 12th, so that we receive them on the 15th. Additionally, they will send an email on the 15th with the same information.

By the way, they asked for a name when I called ten times in a row, so I was forced to give them yours Ost3oclast... don't worry, it probably won't have a negative impact 😉

Thanks for the info! I'll be at a conference next week, trying really hard to stay distracted.

Tic Toc Tic Toc Tic Toc Tic Toc... What day is it!?!?

I've gotten to the point where I dont even care. They took so long in letting me know that its very anticlimactic for me. Lol

I'm definitely not to that point yet lol... I still care a great deal Ha

I was frantically looking for the word "Congratulations" or "Unfortunately" before I stopped to actually read it hahah

"We will make every attempt to get them to you in the next few days"

UNM...Now instead of checking my email compulsively on only the 15th, I'll be doing it all the time

Hahaha I think they enjoy this far too much.

Does everyone have a "Pay Deposit Now" button on their med.unm.edu login? I went to update my contact info and I didn't notice it there before. I'm trying to convince myself that this is a good sign because it's the $100 deposit that you have to submit after acceptance haha. But maybe they just added the button to everyone's login in anticipation for the coming acceptances?

I have that on mine as well, but I too am not sure if it means anything. I guess time will tell. Good luck everyone!!!

It looks like you guys are in luck. I don't have it on mine. So hopefully this means a congrats for you!

Who knows for sure, I'm definitely not celebrating until I get an official letter. But I think I may be on to something! But Good luck everyone! And if that deposit button turns out to be accurate hopefully you're at least top 10 waitlist, that's basically a guaranteed acceptance since they go about 15 deep each year.

I knew I should have stayed away from this thread this week...I def do NOT have a deposit button, and now I am terrified.

I will be staying away after today! But I dont have one and 2 of my friends dont either (both are strong, competitive re applicants). Ill see you guys after the UNM email! Good luck to everyone :luck:

Sorry everyone, i think i opened up a can of worms. I've just been going crazy with this wait. Even without the button, maybe you're not entered in the system yet, or the button could mean nothing.
