Not sure if anyone can accurately answer this question, except for the Howard admissions office.

I guess I was just looking for an ideal opinion. Thank you for responding. I was going off of their website which says you need a 3.0 and 22 to be considered for an interview but then I see the msar data. I want to be as competitive as possible so I guess I'm really curious as to those who had below a 3.0 did they have something special in their app?? Thanks again

For Howard, just try to be a good overall applicant. Medical school is more than just having a good GPA and MCAT score. BE GOOD OVERALL! If you got in congrats, and if you are still waiting, hope the good news comes. If you got rejected, don't give up, and make those improvements! Good luck everyone!

Yeah, it's a conditional acceptance for that years class. If you are deemed to have had satisfactory performance, you are part of the entering class. You are selected for the program after you interview.

Anyone who attended interviews recently - any updates about the last interview dates?

I got a really late invitation for interviews being held on April 22nd and 23rd, which were supposed to be the last dates. I emailed Ms. Walk because I couldn't get off work with such short notice. She said they are contemplating scheduling another date, but as of now there aren't any. Has anyone else heard differently or gotten an II since?

i think they're committee can see through people who apply their as a safety and that they really look for students who are in line with their mission. Ive known ppl with 38 mcat and 3.8 gpa who were rejected from HUCM

Do we know how many they've interviewed so far? Are there any spots left? I really wanna attend Howard. I've put off all my DO school acceptances so I can wait for Howard. I guess good things never come easy. I know Howard is where my heart is and as such, I'm not about to give up hope yet.

a friend of mine is the class liaison for the class of 2018 and she said 88 accepted students but that was a few weeks ago and his current class has 123 i think

Please y'all pray/send good vibes to us still waiting. If you got an out-of-committee email around Apr 8th they said we would find out today-ish. Fingers crossed for everyone!

So when I got the out of committee email they said they were waiting on a signature and that a decision was made. So how long does it take for the dean to sign? The stroke inducing stress is killing me...

Those emails usually give a tentative date. The last group found out approximately a week after the date that was expected.

I interviewed in January and didn't get a decision until mid/late april. It takes a LOT of patience. They really take their time in reviewing your application.

Interviewed 4/23. I ways knew Howard was the place for me. Once I got to the campus and met the people there was no doubt in my mind that the Howard family is where I belong. Praying to hear some good news in the next couple of weeks.
