Interview Wednesday! Anyone have any tips or tid-bits? Anything come out of leftfield or catch you off guard?

Just be yourself. My interviews were mainly conversational and it was a very enjoyable day! I was even late for one my interviews because I had to drive to the hospital but everyone is very understanding and it wasn't a big deal at all.

Based on the email I received, it did appear that the interviews had the potential to be pretty spread out, location-wise. Since you had to drive to the hospital for one, I'm guessing that's the case?

Yeah the first two for me were right on campus, but the last one was at a building right behind the hospital. So not too bad, I just didn't mention to my second interviewer that I would need to go there so we didn't end early enough for me to leave on time. She called my third interviewer to let him know I would be late though. I don't think you'll have to drive all over Mobile though 🙂

Well that's good to know. Getting lost in a city you don't know would be a great way to avoid extra stress on interview day. Thanks for the info.

So I had my interview yesterday. I and a couple others had off campus interviews. Mine were about 15 minutes away but not too hard to find. Interviewers were very pleasant and unintimidating, and the interviews were a comfortable experience. Dont let them lull you into false security though 🙂 The school presented itself very well and I came away with a very good impression of South's faculty, the students there, and the caliber of education they provide. I'll be giving South a long hard look come decision time!

Anybody have success sending updates? I have Summer and Fall grades I would like to submit from my M.S./SMP program that are important to my application. I don't remember anything specific about updates, their contact page has 3 emails though so I'm not sure to which one I should send something.

I sent my updated grades to Peggy Terrell and she added it to my file.

That's exactly right. Somewhat looking forward to it. Ha

Am I correct in thinking that the first two years of USA are pass/fail? I remember reading that somewhere but I'm not sure.

So I received a confirmation email on 11-11-13 stating they had received my secondary application but I have yet to hear anything else back. How long did it take to schedule your interview and if you are not selected for an interview will they send an email letting you know that you are no longer under consideration?

that's a good question. I was complete back in like august/september (I can't even remember) and I just got the complete email.

Got an II for February 5th. Really excited to interview here again!

How many people do they interview on any given interview day?

I believe there were just shy of 20 the day I interviewed. I would assume this was a typical group size, but I really don't know for sure.

Hey guys I know they said there would be another interview group yesterday for the two weeks and then the committee meets..does anyone remember when they said they would meet and send out letters?

I am a reapplicant and have not yet gotten an interview. I am worried. Any other reaps out there waiting to hear?

Still no mail here..interviewed on the 8th. Maybe the holiday has slowed them down

Any oos interviewees? Go to school in Alabama but not a resident. Yet to hear anything or get an II.

Weird. I thought at least I would get a notification by today. Nothing in the mail. Anybody else?

For those who were held, has anyone heard anything on possible movement of the scoring threshold Mark Scott informed us of??

So, is it safe to assume that USA emails interview invites on Wednesdays twice a month?

Nothing here yet. I was under the impression notifications (one way or the other) would get mailed out after the 1/15 interviews. So I'm not sure.

Does anyone know much about off campus housing options and/or is there a Facebook group yet?

I interviewed 1/8, received an acceptance letter yesterday. I'll be declining my acceptance from UAB and making plans to move but I don't know much about the area.

Quiet here. Anyone have news on anything? ii, interviews, acceptances, or news from anyone on hold?

I just got a card (waitlisted) in the mail last Friday. Interviewed 1/8, so it took about 3 weeks to hear back for me.

Really enjoyed meeting all of my fellow interviewees today! Did I understand Mr. Scott correctly in that the committee meets the following Wednesday to come up with our score?

for those of you who have recently gotten II's, what days did you have to choose from?

I'm guessing the last interview day would be sometime mid-March, although I may very well be wrong. As a reapp, I wouldn't sweat this wait, your II could come any day. If you feel like you're gonna have to reapply, then start improving on what you think is weak in your app!

Thanks. I appreciate this.
