still snail mail i believe. I think they call a few people if it gets really late in the summer though. How long did it take people to get a hold/acceptance card after their interview.

That seems to depend on whether they are meeting the following week or not. In my case, I received a hold card about 2 weeks after the interview. They met the following Wednesday and probably put the card in the mail on Friday or Monday.

just got my hold card today. i was hoping i could just go ahead and get in really don't want to have to go through the process a third time haha

Yeah, same here. This is my second time, and I really don't want to retake this new meat.

I'm in the same boat. Took 18 hours like both schools said and made all A's. Really, really don't want to have to retake the MCAT, I feel like I would do worse now.
 
What are your stats? Or is the MCAT you took going to expire? Side note anyody have confirmation that interviews are done?

Basically they check up on your information and criminal record-someone correct me if I'm wrong. I got an email about it, followed the steps, then got a report about a day or two later saying (basically) that I didn't lie.

That about sums it up. I thought that you got it today though?
 
Is the : application on hold, same as waiting list?

Well I made my account today-been following on here for forever. Got it a day or two ago and got the result tonight. I was accepted in early February if I remember right.

Ok that makes since. I was just curious b/c I got mine today and was put on hold by South earlier in the cycle
 
From previous years anyone knows how long it will take to get an answer after being put on hold?
Any hope?

Hey!
I received a hold card followed by an acceptance. I think they sent all out a hold card and recently lowered the standard score. It is my thinking that whoever recently received a background check email will be receiving an acceptance letter soon. I may be wrong--that is just my thinking!

If you don't mind can you share when was your interview? And what are your score?

so are interviews done? I don't think the they'd have the last one in February.
 
May be they will lower the score twice, one now and one after all the interviews may be end of March.
 
I think the last round was this last Thursday, 3/5. I don't think they would've started lowering the score if they hadn't interviewed everyone yet.
 
I've heared that someone has a hold card then on end of last week got the acceptance. Does this mean they lowered the score?

I believe they have lowered the score. Several people have received CERTIPHI emails for background checks which means that their acceptance letters are probably slowly making their way through the snail mail.
 
So they lowered the score before they are don't with the interviews

Pretty sure they dropped it after they were done. The committee has been meeting on Thursdays so they probably met after the interviews on 3/5 and decided.


Of course I am purely speculating too. This is just what it looks like to me.

So do you think they will not drop it again?
 
Acceptances are being sent to those who were previously put on hold.
