Yes, I volunteered at the Corazon clinic! And yes, I'm in-state.
From what I understand, an alternate list means that they will offer you a spot if someone "like you" ends up choosing to drop UTHSCSA. So basically I would assume that if your GPA is a 3.5 and your mcat is a 29, and someone with those stats decides to go to another school, they will offer you that spot rather than to a person with a GPA of 4.0 and an MCAT of 35.I'm OOS waitlisted with this being my top choice of schools. Does anyone know how they pick people off of the alternate list (randomly, by MCAT score or GPA, etc.) and when they make offers to those on the waitlist (immediately after a match rejection or all at once in the summer)? Good luck to all!

Hey guys! I matched here a few weeks ago, but I have a couple questions that I should probably get answered.
1. I pre-matched to Galveston. Do I need to tell them I matched to UTHSCSA or should they already know from match day?
2. When do we get our emails and other information. I was hoping for a big ol' packet like the one I received from Galveston, but instead it was a single page letter stating acceptance.

Has anyone come across the match stats for san antonio? I can find them for all the other TX schools
I think it's possible to accept a waitlist offer and then if you get in from a higher ranked waitlist you can take the higher one instead.Does anyone know if accepting an offer from a school off a waitlist precludes you from being accepted off of other schools off of a waitlist? Or is there some way that other schools can see if you've accepted an offer elsewhere?
pls love me uthscsa
Welcome, from your classmates. Come join our Facebook page!Accepted off of the waitlist today! I'm also OOS, so hopefully that means OOS is moving more?
Congratulations! Did you guys send in update letters? I'm wondering if I should send another one in...
I send mine to the main admissions email and I received a response. Also withdrew from UTHSCSA last week, so there should be some movement soon for those of you waiting 🙂
For the rest of you that have also withdrawn, did you just send an email to the registrar letting them know? I did not receive a response, and would like to make sure they are aware that I have accepted another offer so my spot becomes available to another deserving applicant. Thanks in advance 🙂
congrats!Just got off the waitlist! Need to decide between UTHSCSA vs UTH.
I got my award letter back in early May, before I withdrew.Did anyone ever receive financial aid information.. if so did they email it you? I have never received anything
Just got an email from Dr. Jones saying that the committee was expanding the alternate pool by a few people and that they wanted to put me into it. I got rejected from here post interview a few months ago so this came as quite a surprise. Has anyone heard of this happening? How far should I read into this?
