Soooo is anyone else having issues setting up an interview date? I'm able to access the site but can't select a date...

Yep I'm having trouble too. I scheduled the interview by phone at St. Luke's, and I got the official email, but I can't click on anything.

Sounds like I'll be calling tomorrow!

Did you call the interview coordinator's number in the email?

Got an interview invite today. Had some trouble clicking on the times with Chrome, but worked fine in Safari. Got an email confirming my date

Yes I did, for the St.Luke's campus the coordinator was Doreen Tartell, but I think the coordinator is different if you're interviewing at the main campus.

Also, can anyone tell me what the 3 clinical skills facilities are? Are we being tested on clinical situations? Or is it just like MMI stuff

Well, just got hung up on after calling Temple about interview scheduling. At least I gave no personal info tying me to my app. I understand that the Pope is coming to town and that Temple is getting affected, but meh.

Heads up, Temple is adding dates for interviews as they go along. Anyone with a II right now but unable to schedule online should check online next week. Sent an email today and got that as the response.

Anyone else have trouble submitting? I literally can't submit the secondary. I emailed admissions.
Hey! Having the same issue--can't get past the view all page. Did they tell you what the issue was?

Just signed up for the 29th of October! Dates for the 29th may still be open, and more dates may open throughout this week for those with II's.

It was an IT problem on their end. I left them a voicemail and a very nice woman called me back. She said IT would fix it for me and then emailed me later that day to tell me they fixed it!

Still no update on the 3 Clinical Skills activities? Any past interviewers go through this ?

Looks like it's something new for this year. They also seem to have replaced the student interview with a physician interview based on the email.

The email I got said that one activity is writing an essay and the other 2 involve a patient simulator.

Thanks for the heads up! When did you get that email & any other useful tidbits? All I got was 3 clinical skills activities and then another email asking if I needed vegetarian meal options.

It is basically an MMI with 3 stations. When you check in they give you several forms that say MMI, but they never say MMI in any emails. So prep for that style interview too!

Would someone be willing to share the email they received about the "3 clinical skills activities"?

I'm interviewing at St. Luke's but all I got from them so far is a confirmation email and an email about dining options. Or are those clinical skill activities only for those interviewing for the main Philadelphia campus?

Are there any St. Luke's students willing to comment on the program?

Sorry, missed your question earlier, A7X. I thought I had mentioned it before, but may not have - I am in the St. Luke's program. If you have questions, hit me up and I'll see what I can find out if I don't know myself.

I was talking to our course director today, and he mentioned that they are doing the "clinical skills" activities in Bethlehem as well as at main campus.

As a side note, it appears coordination of those new additions to the interview format was the reason for the delay in sending II's this year compared with last year.

I've already had my interview and was thinking of sending an additional letter of recommendation from a physician who graduated from Temple. What do you guys think about this? I guess the biggest flaw in this idea is that it would have to be sent through Temple's applicant portal, which means the letter wouldn't be confidential. Any thoughts?

Typically, letters of rec are used by the adcom to determine your eligibility for an interview. You've already passed that stage. Unless that additional letter stands out in some way that is far and above the others, I don't think it is beneficial at this stage. If you haven't already, make sure you've written thank you letters to your interviewers.

If you decide to submit it, Temple has this on their site regarding letters "At any point in the application process, you are welcome to submit additional letters to support your application and encouraged to use the AMCAS letter service to transmit these letters."

Does anyone who already interviewed have a status other than "Interview Complete"?

Does anyone who interviewed recently have any update on when they will be sending out decisions?

Interview Invite today! I was actually in philly when I got the invite, so it looks like I'll be making a second trip

II this morning! Complete 8/24, LizzyM 71-73, OOS. Current interview openings range between October 21 to November 6.

Question for IS applicants:

I'm trying to decide if I should wait until they open mid-November slots, as I will be interviewing at UPitt on November 16. Would it be crazy to rent a car and drive to Philly to interview at Temple the next day? From my two-second search the fastest route is approximately 4.5 hours... Is this accurate? I've never been to Pennsylvania. I think it might be cheaper to do this and try to change my flight back to Boston for the 17th. Thoughts?

I have friends that went to Upitt and Im from the Philly area

I would say its definitely more on the 5-6 hour range to get from Pitt to Philly. Is there a way you can have a day of relaxation in between the interviews? Its doable I say, depending on when Pitt ends, but you should get to Philly before midnight in most cases.

I don't think you'd regret your decision, but be aware that theres crazy amounts of traffic around both cities and in between there is NOTHING. So make sure you're well-rested or you will fall asleep on your ride through the beautiful but dull hills of Pennsylvania. It usually takes me 5-6 hours for the drive. Temple area can be kind of confusing but isn't all that hard to navigate, and you can hop on a SEPTA train that will take you straight to the airport after your interview.

Wow, thank you for the quick replies! I'm conflicted because I work full-time and have several other interviews, so I have no earned time left. Mayb it would be better to fly to Philly instead? I'll have to give this some thought.

I am sure this has been covered, but is Temple receptive to updates? I know it is very easy to upload on their portal, just not sure if it is something they readily accept and review. Thanks for any input!

If I have "invited for interview" on the portal but not email, should I be worried??? Does anyone know how long it could take for me to receive the email? I'm not able to access the interview schedule on the portal yet.

When did that happen? Are you IS?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. This happens at many schools..with a delay in portal to email sent. On a side note...complete date for all us mere mortals?! Also..if you don't get an email by next week..I'd definitely give them a call and ask . Can't hurt.

I'm not sure when it happened but I was complete 9/9 (slight delay because it didn't let me pay when I first submitted at the end of August). I'm OOS, 3.93 uGPA & 508 MCAT

Thanks for the feedback!

I discovered the portal update for my interview before the email as well! The email for me came almost a full day later. (Although that was between the time I actually checked, I wasn't sure when exactly my portal was updated)

Okay thanks! Still waiting on my email. Do you know what dates are currently available?

Did anyone call to schedule an interview after the available dates? If so who did you call because I've been trying to reach the interview coordinator and no one has picked up for the past hour.

Congratulations!!! Did you get an email too or just notice it on your portal? Does your "status and information" tab just say Interview Complete?

I did receive an email, which I was not expecting since I though they only send the decision by mail.
In my status and information tab says accepted ( 🙂 ) and I also have an additional tab right next to the logout tab that says accepted.

Has anyone from the October 1st interview heard anything yet?
