Does anyone have tips on how to get off the WL for St Luke’s? I know the email mentioned to send new LORs, new activities or grades, but I’m several years out of college and am not anticipating anything to change… any advice appreciated. Thank you!
Send letter of intent and updates, I plan to withdraw my A in the coming weeks

On this note, does anyone know if North Philly suggests sending new LORs if you're on the waitlist? My daughter is on that WL and I'm kinda lurking to see if there are any pointers. She's been staying off SDN this cycle (her 2nd) for her sanity, but I can't seem to do the same. Will be sooooo happy when this process is over.

Thank you!

In the WL email they stated what we can send. So if the North Philly email is the same as the St Luke’s one we prob have the same instructions.

Pasted part of my email here for reference.

“While you remain on the continuing candidates list, any updates to your application should be communicated through[email protected]. This includes additional letters of recommendation, academic coursework completed since you submitted your AMCAS application, and descriptions of additional medical/community/volunteer experiences not indicated on your AMCAS application. If your address, phone number, or e-mail changes, please update your contact information with AMCAS.”

wait MSAR said to upload letters of intent or interest to the portal should I email them too?

Hoping she hears some good news soon! I personally am going to send more letters of recommendation to help boost my application.

Temple sends a survey gauging interest in the school to those on the WL right? Although I expect this to be sent in early May.

If any accepted students have figures regarding the cost of attendance, could you please message me!

Edit: Or really any information about financial aid

Kinda confused how there has been no movement on the CC list at all this cycle.. are we going to have to wait until after may 1 to hear anything?

I was told most movement happens starting 5/1 bc of traffic rules. I’m betting a lot of people are holding on to their As rn as they wait for finaid info / making final decisions

Anyone know when we are supposed to hear the decision? Interviewed w/ North Philly campus 4/3. I got my hopes up last week but then never heard 😭

This week is basically the last full week any MD school can get back to their applicants. Hoping you hear from them tomorrow or this Thursday! (Or by 4/30)

Hi to all who are on the CC - I just received the CC Email/SurveyMonkey from LKSOM. Does anyone know if there is a deadline? I currently am waiting on one school to get back to me by 4/30 (unfortunately, they really like taking their time), but I plan on completing the survey by 4/29 latest. So my response on the survey will depend on the outcome of that school's decision. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I applied to St Luke's + not very sure about the WL movement for that campus. Previous 2 threads for 2023 & 2024 show mostly Philly campus having good WL Movement.

If you look in last years thread it many people who picked option two were pulled. I’d personally not wait and just send a letter of intent if you change your mind after 4/30

hey if I’m on the waitlist for my top choice and temple st. luke’s is a close second for me do u guys think I should choose option 1 or option 2

Personally I feel that if you pick option one they will probably expect a letter of intent to actually place value on your response.

Im still waiting on my decision from my number one school and plan to send a letter of intent to that school if I’m waitlisted. Since I was not planning on sending a letter of intent to Katz I picked option two.

Maybe I’m self selecting myself out of a spot but I don’t want to be dishonest. Also seems like last year many people picked option two and were pulled from the WL.

Hi is there a student from the school on this thread I could talk to?

If not would anyone who attended first or second look be able to answer these questions for me please!

- is pre-clinical 18 months or the traditional 2 years?
- are exams NBME or in house
- lectures are not mandatory is that correct?

I did not receive an email about the survey monkey. Anyone else? Same thing happened to me while on the waitlist last year. Did all of you who got it fill out the one post interview? Just trying to rack my brain for why this has happened twice now. I’m sure I’ll have to reach out to admissions at some point, just curious

I filled out the post-interview feedback survey. But I don't see how it should have a bearing on whether or not you receive the CC email. I would send them an email as they're very responsive.

The CC email this morning says that updates should be uploaded to the portal, but the post interview email said we should email them updates lol. Should we re-upload any LOI's to the portal if we have already emailed them?

Thanks so much for the response! I was thinking the same thing and wrote one up, should I say that I didn’t get it? Feels weird but seems like the only option

Curious about this also

I uploaded mine then emailed them last week to ask and they said you just have to upload

I'm in the same situation, I chose 2
thanks guys I chose option 2

Have any North Philly applicants who interviewed beginning of April received any update/have any idea if Temple sends updates on weekends? They mentioned that they'd get back 3rd week of April but this week is almost over and I'm hoping they'll get back soon🥲

Hi! I did not interview for Philly, but I found some success just emailing admissions regarding when to expect on hearing back. They’ve been relatively transparent so it doesn’t hurt to ask. Just specify your interview date and which campus you applied to!

I second this! I emailed them and asked when decisions would come out and they told me the exact date.

Has anyone checked previous threads to see if there is a correlation between when one gets placed on the CC/WL & when they’re taken off the CC?

I had a really late interview (April 1) so just trying to see if I can gauge my chances or start preparations for moving across the country
