To People who already received the secondary- Is it the same 6000 character beast of a description of my sorry life that they're require again?

yes....To People who already received the secondary- Is it the same 6000 character beast of a description of my sorry life that they're require again?![]()
yes....
Wait for the secondary. Then make sure you add this information somewhere in the secondary application (anywhere). They probably know that you didn't apply before. So I accidentally marked that I had previously applied to this school on my primary, even though this is my first time applying. Totally not sure how I didn't catch that beforehand but I just noticed it when my app was verified yesterday. When should I contact UCSD to let them know about my error? I'm wondering if I should just wait until they send me a request for secondary (if they end up sending one!)
i was invited for a secondary today, but whenever i access the "new applicant" page to make my pid/passowrd, there's error message saying that...
"There is an error in the data that was entered - your Application ID could not be verified. Please double check your information and try to sign in again."
Is anyone facing the same problem?? Im so anxious to start, and I just got off work and the admin office is closed for the weekend!!!! 🙁

The photo-upload mishap is now fixed! Does anyone know if UCSD offers a fee waiver for FAP recipients? I can't seem to find that info anywhere
Unfortunately not. I didn't have the time to call them. I did re-read the email, and it says fee waiver recipients don't have the pay, so...? I emailed (Dr.?) David Sanchez a copy of my FAP approval email just in case. Hoping for some sort of status change regarding payment in the next few business days!Did you figure this out @phuynh94 ? Wondering the same.
Just used this link and everything worked. I'm not sure which one I was previously using!Did you login from here?

I am experiencing this very same issue ):Is anyone having issues with the "total number of hours to date" section for the meaningful experiences? It keeps clearing the hours when I return to that section even though I've hit save/continue. Also doesn't show up under my meaningful experiences section when I hit the final review. Using Google Chrome btw (called their office and they said it should work fine on Chrome).
Edit: Also doesn't work on IE

That is the way I interpreted it. I had 3, so I used three. It is all about matching up your letters to your ECs. If you have 3 letters that match up, use them. If you don't, you can't force it.Anyone?
I tried both links that they gave me (the one you posted and the other in the email). The site for status check indicates thatDid you login from here?

Any MSTP get secondary? Still waiting for mine ...
I'm MSTP too! Still have yet to hear from them... you are not alone!
Yep. I almost submitted today with the boxes blank. Good thing I reviewed before submittingis anyone else having trouble saving the "APPROX total number of hours to date" ?
/finishes submitting 37th secondary
"Ah yes looks like UCSD is next on queue!"
/looks at everything that is asked for to be included in the autobiographical sketch
"WHYYYYY .____."
(in other news, my entire PS was about my development of wanting to pursue a medical career so this is gonna be a bit tricky...)
LOL omg you don't understand I NEED to get into at least one med school because this is do or die for me. I really don't see myself doing any other kind of career besides one in the medical field so I am trying to cast my net as wide as possible and hope that I will get accepted somewhere...orz*looks at MD Apps for your school list*

Me too. Hopefully the adcoms are aware of this issue and would somewhat understand.Definitely submitted awhile back without really reviewing; I'm assuming that my total hours weren't included WHOOPS. 😕
I had assumed that if anything was missing, a window would pop up letting me know (much like how it did when I forgot to fill out one box under background info).
Hail, fellow Sigma.
Literally just submitted my 38th this morning and am finishing up UCSD's now haha. We can do it! Thank god for prewriting.
It helped me out a lot when I outlined my life in different stages, e.g. growing up, family life, high school, college, gap year, future, etc., and then picked out significant lessons/events in each stage that helped me decide on medicine. Not sure how "correctly" this answers the question, but it made the most sense to me.
My hours are able to be saved now, but they still don't show up in final preview. Is this happening to anyone else?

Ok thanks. I just want to submit lol. Been sitting on this secondary all weekend ready to submit. I think I'll wait to see if it is fixed by tonight. Thanks for the updates and good luck!
Nope, no status change or anything. 🙁 I'll try emailing UCSD admissions email...Did you get an update? I forwarded David my FAP email yesterday so I'm sure my email will be one of the last ones he'll reply to from this weekend, but I just wanted to make sure I emailed the right person.

I'm not sure of the cutoff, but I would guess I'm for sure on the low end with a 3.5 gpa and 29 MCAT OOS. I received this UCSD secondary along with UC-Davis, UCLA, and UC-Irvine. I applied to UCSF, but haven't received that one though, so who knows.Hey all I'm OOS..3.98/35 MCAT still no secondary. Anybody else in this boat with me? What's the cut off?
I received and submitted secondaries to UCLA and UCSF...
Props @hrbird UC Davis and UC Irvine looked too discouraging for us out of state folks and thanks for the info. I emailed the school too see WTF?! my mother was a tailor, sewed my new blue jeans. my father was a gambling man, down in new orleans. For the autobiographical sketch, is it too informal to use mom/dad instead of mother/father?
I'm still working on this, it is way too long, must figure out what to cut out. So want to be done with these secondaries.Same here. It's been giving me anxiety all weekend haha. I'm going to just wait a couple more hours to see if they can get it done. If not, I'll probably submit it before the business day ends.
Thanks, you too!
Ugh I know what you mean--I had to cut out like 500 characters :< I definitely talked a lot more about pre-college stuff since my PS covered my entire college journey and desire to be premed but hopefully when they see the essay and PS side by side it'll be much more informative...I'm still working on this, it is way too long, must figure out what to cut out. So want to be done with these secondaries.

I have this message on the status check
"We have your SSN but have not yet created your UCSD student record. This process can take anywhere from 2 - 6 business days as we process things on a weekly cycle. Please try to be patient. After the student record has been created, you will be notified of the next step to take."
I submitted my SSN more than two weeks ago. Does anyone else have this? Does this just mean I didn't receive a secondary or is this something I should contact UCSD about?
