Curious when you interviewed, when I interviewed for PRIME I thought that they said decisions would be out 03/14

I thought tomorrow is regular MD decisions for 2/13 since we have to get into the school first to be considered for PRIME?

Interviewed 03/04 so it may vary for different people I suppose. A friend interviewed 02/25 & was given the same info. They may come in waves

Oh I see. I interviewed 02/13 and so I guess that they mean normal decisions out tomorrow and then we will find out about PRIME later.

Applicants expecting decisions tomorrow should be near their phones between 12:30 - 1:30 PM PST. Waitlist and Rejections will come out in this time frame as well. Best of luck everyone!
 
Is there an admitted students groupme? I won't be able to come visit during SLW, but really want to talk to current students/other applicants about UCSD, especially as someone coming from OOS!! 🙂
 
I received an OOS WL back in January & UCSD is my top choice but not feeling very hopeful about waitlist movement...was thinking to send an LOI but do we think it will even impact/ make a difference compared to just a strong letter of intent? im getting the vibes that the other school I was also WL at (WashU) cares more about interest and therefore an LOI would be more impactful there maybe? so can't decide if I should risk not getting either given my low odds of getting off WL as OOS at UCSD (again i know this is all hypothetical and an LOI could do nothing at either place).

I realize UCSD said in its emails that interviewees aren't at a disadvantage when they interview later in the cycle so don't worry but I'm just wondering even just a few weeks' difference of interview dates made a difference in this case. It appears a few people got an A from their interview day which was held just a few weeks prior compared to a recent but later interview day for which all of us who attended got the decision on 3/14 of WL. Granted, this is simply a very small sample size on SDN but it makes me wonder. And yes comparison is the thief of joy, lol. Thoughts?
 
Is the Second Look event in April just for accepted students or also waitlisted individuals as well? I thought I read somewhere that it was for people who were waitlisted too but UCSD's website only mentions the event in terms of those who have been accepted.

Second look at UCSD is typically only for accepted students
 
Was anyone else who applied to the UCSD MSTP completely ghosted? Not sure what's going on, since I've yet to hear anyone being accepted here for the MSTP

I'm assuming if you're ghosted its good news? they sent out post-II R and WL so maybe acceptances are next??? Tbh i have no idea but thats my best guess. perhaps the funding issue is causing a delay but they already have a list of the candidates they want.

I’m definitely hoping this is the case too — after getting my R it seems like most folks haven’t heard any As yet. CycleTrack only showed R’s and WL’s, so hopefully this means good news is coming everyone else’s way soon!! Hang in there, you got this 🙂

haha i also got the R a few days ago but i'm still curious with their delay. Really hoping nothing too weird is going on that can inadvertently affect WL movement at other schools. But I will say is that generally most schools do mostly WL post II MSTP so its interesting that they handed out R for the majority of candidates (based on cycletrack)

lol same!! It is so weird, I’m really hoping it’s just a normal delay and nothing related to all of the funding issues going on. Folks deserve the spots they’ve worked hard to get and I hope good news comes soon. I hear you about the Rs, it was weird seeing so many on cycletrack compared to previous years. Hopefully it’s just more reporting or maybe more popularity for the program. Did you opt for MD-only after the MSTP R?

Sorry, should've clarified - didn't gotten an II. Was waiting for the R but it never came. Kinda sucks bc this school's my top choice since it's probably where my partner would go (if she gets in)

2-3 pst is what sdn has mentioned but during the interview they said it was match day so they might be later on
 
Does anyone know when PRIME acceptances may come out? 😭 I’m eagerly waiting.. will we get a rejection if not accepted?

Congratulations!!! I have also been on the waitlist since November, do you mind sharing when your interview was and if they ever asked for any update letters or anything?

i was waitlisted mid January, and no they never asked for anything!
