Did anyone just get a UCSD Electronic Billing Notice email? I didnt even do my undergrad there but they sent me this email...

I submitted the secondary for PRIME 8/08 and haven't heard back yet.. UCSDSOM white coat is this week so maybe they're busy? Hopefully we'll hear back next week.

I think a batch of these were sent at an earlier date (I got one in early August) and it's nothing to worry about. I remember people posting about it a few pages back but if I remember correctly, I think people said that the "fee" is $0.00 if you try to log in.

yup, what the hell does it mean?
 
Even if you never went to UCSD, you still create an account for your secondary app. I think it just means that we were charged the supplemental application fee. I got one of these too and it says I owe $0.00. Hopefully that means we're one step closer to being complete!
 
Does anyone know if UCSD's grading system is Pass/Fail or Honors/Pass/Fail?

Ok thanks. I was complete late july and have not heard back. I was looking at last year's thread and people applying to prime reported getting invites in late sept. Hopefully that's why we haven't heart back.
 
IS II! Submitted mid-late August, LizzyM 72-73, nontrad-ish. Have lived in SD since moving here for undergrad and it'd be awfully nice to stay here! (Oh right, and I've heard the school isn't too bad either! 😉)
 
Did you guys with II's recieve any email after submitting you secondary?
 
Does anybody know if you can be accepted here for MD but be rejected for PRIME? Or is it an all-or-nothing type of deal?

I did not receive an email after submitting my secondary. Just the submit on the status page was there.

Wat? So take whatever your real stats are and look through the MSAR for UCSD's 10th-90th percentiles. Probably the most objective way to see how you're doing stat-wise.

Alternatively/Additionally, plug your stats/EC's into WedgeDawg's ARS (you can find it on SDN) and see how you stand for UCSD.
 
Slightly off topic, but in one of my weirdly realistic/hallucinogenic dreams from being sick, I dreamt that I logged onto the status check for UCSD and that I received an II! Woke up believing it was real for like 2 hours until I checked it in real life and saw nothing but the two dashes on the status page. T_T

Then scolded myself silently for believing I'd actually get one before making myself go right back to sleep. 🙂

You've been here a while. I think you would know you're better off posting this in the WAMC thread. You can actually get Goro, Grapes, md2020 etc. to look at it (i.e. people who are more qualified to give their opinion on this). Not to mention, you may want to maintain some anonymity within a school's thread on the off chance one of their admissions staff decides to look through for whatever reason.

Yeah I agree it's better posted in WAMC forums, but for anonymity sake, it's better if you guys could unquote coconut monkee's post and just tag them.
 
Hey guys,

I was wondering how you can tell if you've received an interview. Does it show up on your status page or do they directly email you? I noticed on the "check status" page that there wasn't a slot for interview (yes or no), only an option to see if you've been put on interview hold and your final decision. Where does the thing actually show up?

If you receive an II, there will be a slot telling you to schedule an MMI.
 
Any idea how strict thy are for the secondary submission deadline?
I kinda missed it by a lot... 🙁
 
I would imagine that unless you have a really good reason for why you missed it you probably won't have a good chance.
 
Is it just me or does UCSD seem a bit slow this year in handing out interviews? Has anymore OOS applicants received any IIs yet? If so, please post your stats!
 
does ucsd put people on hold or do they do silent rejections? also complete 'late august', haven't heard back.
 
To those who received secondaries, how long did the screening take from the time you submitted the primary to when you received the secondary?

My primary was verified August 4th and my secondary was sent the 13th. From what I've seen in other UC threads, the UCs aren't very predictable with regards to when/how they send out their secondaries :-( Still haven't received UCLA's or UCD's.

Also, do you guys know if UCSD interviews in December? Some schools have a long holiday break and I'm not sure if UCSD is one of them....

I do not, unfortunately. I did interview yesterday, and was told that I won't find out until 10/15 (~4 weeks). The director says this means our group has to "wait longer than usual," so I assume a normal wait time is less than that?
