He ended up getting an acceptance and almost matriculating! Also I have no idea of this is founded or not but apparently people say to stay away from one's personal mental health issues in these essays? I don't know why or if it is even true, but perhaps others can weigh in on this?

Yes I think the mental health thing is risky because they might think it could come back and be an issue during medical school. It probably depends on the nature and severity of the mental illness. Similar things are being said about chronic illnesses (again, it depends on their nature and severity).
 
so are most MSTP applicants hearing back right now? any only MD applicants??

Also, does anyone know where to check if LORs are in? is it the "Rec" grayed-out button that would get colored in? everything else for me is colored (except Rec, $$$Waiver, and HOLD)

The waiver indicator will not be colored in if you are not planning on submitting a FAP waiver for the secondary.
 
How long did it take them to download your recs from AMCAS? My recs have been in for weeks. I submitted 10 days ago and they still haven't indicated they received them. Is it worth calling them?

mine just got downloaded yesterday after waiting 11 days. I think they're just slow. you could stand to wait a few more days I think!

Is it 10 days or business days, because they say on the website please allow 10 business days, so I would not annoy them before than. I submitted very early and it still took about a week (5 full business days) until they marked my recs as complete.

My AMCAS was verified on the 16th and my recs showed up on the website on the 24th.
 
Just found a little typo in one of my secondary essays and I'm so sad. I read them over so many times but somehow a word got deleted before I submitted. I hope it's not a huge deal, but I spent so long on these essays since UChicago is one of my top choices! Ah well. Letters uploaded to AMCAS on Friday so it sounds like I'll be put out of my misery soon enough.

It's okayy, if it makes you feel better, I spelled a Professor's name wrong on one of my secondaries, and I also made a huge typo in my diversity statement that went out to 3-4 schools... 🙁

Probably should have posted this earlier, but finally got my interview invite earlier today! Completed 7/10, LizzyM 75+

Does anyone know if Pritzker is lenient with their rescheduling aka has Friday interviews available? I have a mandatory lab that conflicts with both dates offered unfortunately... taught by some infamously strict professor who straight up turned my pleas down to makeup the labs at a later time.

I might try calling/emailing them sometime this week to check, but it'd be nice to hear first from someone that knows on here!

When is your interview supposed to be? (this is just out of curiosity)
As for your dilemma, I feel like there's no way you're the first person to ever have had this problem... Just give them a call I'm sure they'll be nice about it. Most applicants are still in school so I bet it comes up a lot.

Congratulations!

Unless things have changed from previous years, there are no interviews on Friday. Interviews are only Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Are you not able to schedule dates online using the portal? Or are there only a limited number of dates available? If the latter, send the office an e-mail and let them know about the conflict and they should be able schedule you for a future date if one isn't available on the portal.

I only had Tuesday's and Thursday's available to schedule my interview and they only had like four dates total open...

Same they said dates available up to 9/4 and only on Tuesdays and Thursday. I'm sure if you call tho they will surely schedule you later.

Just rejected - first one. Secondary received 07/02, complete 07/13. This was a major reach school for me anyway, so it's okay! Best of luck to everyone!

Thank you! @idontknowwhatnametopick and @NickNaylor They gave me two options total - a Tuesday and Thursday. I ended up just dropping the course that I had a conflict with. I also rationalized that it wasn't worth the additional stress taking that class since I already had too many hours stacked this semester.

This will probably also help with future interview scheduling! Really appreciate all the wonderful suggestions.

I was marked complete on the 17th and still have not heard back, if that helps!
 
MSTP II on 7/23/2015! (Secondary submitted and application completed 7/13)
 
I submitted by secondary like the 20th and my recs were up on the 24th of July but I'm still not marked complete by Pritzker. Anyone else has the same issue?

not necessarily that exact same issue, but I had an issue with my recs not being highlighted until about the 22nd or something, but then I checked the "status" bar and it said that my application was complete at 7/17 (the day after I submitted the secondary). I had to email the office to ask them about my LOR, though.

I just checked the "My History" tab. It says too that my app was 'complete' a day after I submitted the secondary but that doesn't make sense since my recs weren't even uploaded then. I guess I'll wait till the end of the month before emailing them. Out of curiosity, what did you specifically ask the office and what did they reply with? Thanks!

They say to give 10 BUSINESS days to have your recs uploaded/marked complete

I completed my secondary many days ago, my recs were received in June, the portal says my application is not done/recs not received, just writing to make sure no more action is required on my side

We added your letters, sorry for the delay. Let me know if you have more questions

paraphrased, of course. They were very helpful and polite!
 
I called them when my LORs were taking a while and she said, "well we do them all in the order they're received by hand.... but just give me your amcas ID and I'll upload yours". By the time I got off the phone, finished up my experiment, and checked, they were uploaded.

"App complete" in the "my history" tab means they have your secondary and your payment.
You're not fully complete until the home page, top right corner, says "Application complete" and your app is actually being reviewed.
It took 7 business days for my letter to be uploaded and thus for my app to be marked complete once I had done everything on my end. It's a waiting game unfortunately.
