Thanks y'all! I know it's only 50% of your score, but I figure most of the people getting accepted the first round probably had high interview scores and relatively high GPA/MCAT. Fingers crossed I make the cut off whenever Mark Scott lowers the score threshold! :xf:
 
Accepted through snail mail but will send in a withdrawal letter to try to help them move things along. Love this school!
 
Interviewed late October. Nothing in the mail yesterday...hoping mail is just a day behind. Waiting for parents to get back from work to check my home address.

Just curious--anybody get a hold card?

Edit: got a hold card. Anybody who's been through this before know what that entails?

Some did get hold cards. You should get a letter regardless of the result

I know someone who has been through the process, and this post is basically what they said:

From what I understand, you have been assigned an application score which was not high enough for acceptance yet, no final decision has been made on your file.

From now until final decisions are made, you could be accepted at any time when they lower the acceptance score, if your application's score is equal to or greater than the new acceptance score. I've heard they generally won't reject you until the final decision day comes around, but I'm not sure how true that is.

If you haven't received a decision before the adcom's final decision day, you will then be sent an acceptance, waitlist, or rejection notification.

I've heard (and Mark Scott has said) that they usually accept most of applicants who are waitlisted.
 
Did anyone else interview in September/October/early November and not get a decision letter of any kind? I interviewed in early November (before the committee met) and haven't gotten any mail from them.

I would call them. You should've received something IMO.
 
Congrats! I think I remember reading a Facebook group is made by a M1 class officer later on the the spring.

I have a 3.8gpa/509 mcat. I feel like it probably came down to interview scores for a lot of people!

Received an ii yesterday. Kinda weird because within 30 minutes of receiving an email from South that my secondary was complete, I got the email for the ii. I also feel as though I'm an underdog. science 3.19, Cumulative 3.6, and mcat 126/125/128/128-507. Maybe being in-state had something to do with it?
 
I guess it's not a good sign if they haven't sent a request for grade updates? Haven't heard a peep.

They told me that they would only ask for something like a grade update if it's an aspect of your application that needs improvement and they know you're doing further education i.e. master's or post-bacc.

Last year I waited about 5 months to get a rejection. It's looking like the same wait this year. Waiting about a year of my life to this process is kinda absurd, IMO.

ACOM responded to me within a week.
 
Anyone else interview last Wednesday (1/27)?

I interviewed 1/13 and haven't heard a word yet.

I think acceptances are often sent out on the last Friday of each month so some will probably get something in the mail tomorrow.

MCAT 514 and Undegraduate cGPA 3.5. I retook the MCAT (originally 29) and have done a master's degree in a year with 4.0.

Don't know if it's helpful so late now, but I had a 32 MCAT and went to South for undergrad. 3.85 cumulative GPA and 3.87 BCPM GPA. Sorry I haven't been checking my account
 
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought USA COM did interviews every other Wednesday and the Admissions Committee met that night to make decisions on students interviewed that day. And I think they send letters out that Friday. I saw a lot of you wondering about that.

Does anyone know where I can find interviewed/accepted numbers? Particularly in-state/out-of-state numbers?

Or even just general estimates that they've heard from Mr. Scott or others? I won't hold you to them, just hoping for a broad idea.
