Has anyone been accepted off of the waitlist?

Yeah I just got in the day after rolyat withdrew.
Based on the new people on the Facebook group it looks like I'm not the only one who got in recently. I have no idea how much more movement there will be though.

A friend of a friend who went to Second Look suggested that many accepted students would drop Dell to go to other institutions if the opportunity arose. Supposedly Dell is pretty nervous about retaining their current batch of students, and I believe that many non-Texas schools are still accepting people.

Based on what I've heard, it seems like most schools experience waitlist movement in May. Do you think that will be true for Dell Med as well? I have gotten mixed messages about how committed the current group is.

Most everyone here may be a little biased towards Dell (myself included) but there was a thread awhile back comparing UTSW/Dell/UTHouston. Since Baylor seems to be moving very slowly this year, do you think there might be ongoing movement over the next few weeks? My friend will definitely go to Baylor if he gets accepted there.

Sorry for being vague. I meant to say that I'm still waiting to hear back from (and considering) other schools so I'm not officially committed.

I'm guessing they'd email you. Just give them a call tomorrow morning and ask! Honestly they're the nicest people.

UTH is a solid school but Dell Med is a dream. The resources they're funneling into the venture are staggering. If you could, please make a decision fast! WL movement today will have a domino effect on waitlists at other Texas schools and hopefully will lead to an acceptance for me at TAMHSC or UTRGV 🙂
