I applied to Howard in late August/early September and have only gotten interim e-mails. Do you think I should reach out to the office and ask about my app status?

Well finally my wait is over! I got my acceptance letter today for the class of 2021! #HowardBound
Accepted today as well, interviewed 11/29
Howard said interviews will go until the end of April, are those pretty much reserved for people who were complete later in the cycle (November/December)?
Hello everyone! Congrats to all those accepted and those who received II's! Has anyone who interviewed early December received an 'Out of Committee' email as of yet? Are you still waiting?
More of mid dec...but I interviewed on Dec 14th and I am still waiting.

Okay thanks for responding. I interviewed the 7th and haven't heard anything either. Good to know I'm not alone though lol 🙂

Hey everyone,
I've been so anxious and nervous because I haven't yet heard back from Howard. I'm still holding on to hope and I'm literally praying every day. I'm Muslim, and there are certain times of the day, like before dawn, that we're told that praying/talking to God is most effective, so I've been waking up before dawn just so I can pray to get good news from HUCM. I feel so ready to pursue medicine and I want to do it at HUCM so badly. My brother graduated from there, and ever since I first visited him, I've wanted to go. I hope I hear good news from them soon.

does anyone know how to send a transcript update? I called all five numbers on their website and no one answered...
@hbanana95 I read that some applicants attended Howard's open house on the first Friday of the month (this Friday!). Maybe you can stop by and find out more information on how to get your application noticed? It can't hurt!
I would have done this myself if I lived closer to DC or was able to take off from work, but I'm only reserving my personal/sick days for interviews.

So my application was complete the 1st of november and have not heard back. My stats are 494 mcat 3.7 science 3.4 overall. Do I still have a shot? I feel like I will be a reapplicant for howard 🙁
Idk I've been complete since 9/9 and still haven't heard anything. But I her they interview til April so there's that I guess

I also sent in a letter of interest on 01/23/17 and haven't heard back. But if it's any consolation, I sent a letter to another school, and they responded within 3 hours just saying "Thank you for the update." 1 week later, I received a rejection letter from them. So I guess not hearing back immediately is a good thing? Idk, we just have to remain optimistic.
I did that as well with a different medical school. I sent a letter of interest and got rejected a few days later.

Also, does Howard accept update letters?
No offense, but howard is pretty bad in regards to reception for update letters or emails or phone calls... or maybe that's just my experience. Anyone else?

Yeah I sent them an update and they never responded….they were the only school to not do so
Would it be a good idea to send an extra letter of recommendation if they have yet to contact me regarding an interview? One of my doctors I'm working on a project with has been asking me if she can write me one since I've done so much with her since I applied. Or should you not send letters until you get an interview?
I've called them 5 different times from 5 different numbers and some of the phone numbers were disconnected lol and others went to voicemail
