@ACVthaPT We're in the same boat!! Still no word from Texas State... their website say that their deadline to notify applicants for an interview is Nov. 4th... I hope they do it earlier and don't wait until that day. Oh and I see that it's your number 1 choice, it's mine too.. I think 🙂

I am (im)patiently waiting on hearing from Texas State as well!!! 🙂 I hope they send out the invites for interviews before and not on November 4th!

I actually just asked a girl I know who's a SPT at Texas State today! She said she found out at 10pm on the deadline day... here's hoping that's not for everyone!

Congrats on all the interviews! For UNT, did they give you an option of dates, or did they invite specifically to an interview that late? I was just wondering since it seems like your date is so far away and others have only gotten interviews for sooner dates.

I had the option of Oct 21st or Feb 3rd... My Tech interview ended up being Oct 21st and they only gave me the 1 date! I emailed UNT and they said those were the only 2 interview dates they had (when is submitted my application). It sounds like I submitted mine much later than the other people who have interviews earlier or already had an interview!

To be honest, I am going to treat them all the same until if/when I receive acceptance letters! If it were solely based on location, I would love to be near Houston so UTMB or TWU in Houston! But, I would be thrilled to be at any of the schools I applied.

Thank you so much for the insight !! I feel like I would have freaked out on Nov. 4th once it's passed 5 o'clock ahah

Hopefully they do it sooner though! I am using every inch of willpower in my body right now to not call them, trying to teach myself patience lol

It took a little over 2 weeks to get my first interview after I submitted my applications and I got emails from all of three schools within 3 weeks of my application being verified. Since these are the only schools I applied to with rolling admissions, these were the only ones I hoped to hear from at that point! Now, I'm waiting on Texas State (deadline was 10/3), UT San Antonio (deadline was 10/17), and TWU (deadline was 10/17) of the schools I applied to in Texas. UTSW's deadline is December 1st and they don't have rolling, so I assume I won't hear from them until January! Hope that helps!

Yes I have applied. My stats are on the first page of this forum. Unfortunately I haven't heard back and my schools had my apps on 9/15 so I'm guessing that's not good for me.

You have great stats!!! First, you're at Rice... that speaks for itself. You have over 100 observation hours that you got from 2 different settings. Having a 3.71 overall is better than the average applicant. You sound SUPER involved and being a college athlete and being health/science major shows you can handle a lot on your plate. Seriously, you should feel really good about your application!

Congrats on your acceptance! I know someone else who was accepted to Tech today from the 9/30 round of interviews! I also interviewed with them on that day, but I was at a different campus. I haven't heard anything from them yet, so now I'm starting to get nervous.

I know how you feel! It's so hard to be patient! I haven't heard anything from UTMB or UNT, which were the other two rolling admissions schools that I applied to. I still have three other schools with deadlines that just passed/are approaching, and it feels like an eternity.
 
Had anyone heard from UT San Antonio or Texas State yet about interviews?

Oh man...they're really tryna have us on ice till November 4th I guess!! And here I was hoping I would hear something within the next couple of days, I guess we all gotta keep waiting lol
 
Btw, congrats to everyone who has gotten an acceptance or even interviews. I'm seeing some of the UNT and Tech people received their acceptances, it's always great to hear that you all are progressing and getting to that next step in your journey of life. Blessings to all.

UNT is a top choice for me as well since i live in the Dallas area. They recieved all my materials and supplemental fee on 9/22, but I still haven't heard back either, so you're not alone!

@RiceOwl02, don't lose hope. I can only imagine how nerve-racking it can be to hear about others getting interviews and acceptances and it's hard to patiently wait when you haven't heard yet. I think we just need to be reminded that things happen in their own time, that UNT isn't done interviewing, that TWU is definetely not done accepting and that not hearing is not necessarily a synonym to bad news. But I'm sure it's easier said then done ... but I hope this forum provides support, motivation, and encouragement rather then stress and despair because it really wasn't the original intent. Good luck with the admission process, I really really really hope you hear soon, for what it's worth 🙂

You are so right!!!! TWU hasn't even start giving out acceptances to people who submitted by the normal deadline. And, for UNT, I know that some people have been "denied" already so not hearing anything may be a good thing!!!

I only applied to those 2 schools because as much as I want to be a physical therapist, I wanted to live in cities that I know I would be happy living in for 3 years while I'm in school. Also, I didn't have all the pre-reqs for UTSW or else I would have applied there as well. I haven't tried calling my schools because UNTs website said to only email about status updates, and TWU has probably only just started looking at their apps because they were due at the beginning of this week. I'm just not sure how the rolling admissions goes for UNT because if they have reviewed apps that were submitted after mine, does that mean I can still get an interview or have they passed me up? I could probably call and ask about that part I suppose.

Also, I did email UNT and they only told me that applications can remain under review until January and thanks for being patient. So that wasn't very much help. :/

Oh wow. I had no idea if they have actually started denying people yet or if they were just waiting until January or February to let applicants know. That's good to know that they deny as they go.

Hey congrats!! I got the acceptance e-mail yesterday morning as well. I interviewed at the Odessa campus but was placed in Lubbock!

It's ok! I mean I did end up contacting them through email, but I guess they're restricted as to how much information they can actually give us or something because I thought that they would be more specific to my application rather than vague.
 
So I just wanted to share some info I found out 🙂 If you are wondering about UNT, I called and was informed to email instead as they cannot give the application status over the phone. Personally, I got an email saying it is still under review and thank you for your patience. That still gives some hope!

Only few people have heard from TWU (Congrats to those that did!), so I keep on telling myself to stay patient.

I applied to UNT, TWU, and TSU, but haven't heard from any yet. I am definitely hopeful but anxious. I just really want to start preparing myself for next year and can't do that when I don't really know where I will be living. On the bright side, we are all dealing with the same issues and overall worry. I am definitely glad I came across this forum!

That's what UNT told me too! Hopefully we hear back from them soon with an interview opportunity!

Someone else got accepted from UNT on this thread earlier as well

I had everything in before their earlier deadline! It's not a PTCAS early decision school though, so no binding acceptance or anything.

I had everything in by 9/14 and my PTCAS file was verified by 9/20... so I think that's by the early deadline. When I read it the first time, I thought it was binding so I didn't think twice about it. That makes me so nervous!
