For any other MSTP applicants, are all MSTP applicants who receive an interview (but don't get accepted) placed on the wait list or only a small number? I'm just trying to assess whether it is reasonable to get an offer from the MSTP waitlist. I have not heard/read of anyone who received a post-interview rejection.

unless you were flat out not a good fit for our program or acted unprofessionally during your interview (i am shocked at how often this has happened the past 2-3 years), the vast majority of MSTP applicants get placed on a tiered waitlist. if you were rejected, you would know by now.

however, our administration places a high priority on those that express interest and communicate with our office throughout the process - and i like to think they are fairly transparent with how realistic your chances are at this point. so definitely keep in touch if you haven't already!

Thanks for this information! I've been in contact a few times since being placed on the waitlist (letter of intent, a couple application updates, etc.), and was informed of the tiers that you mentioned and recently (before the April 30th deadline) that enough acceptances were out to fill the class but that they may have to make a couple of offers if some of those individuals decided to take their talents elsewhere. I've definitely found the administration to be very supportive throughout this process, I just was trying to gauge how deep the waitlist goes.
