Congratulations guys, I hope to get the call soon too! Just a question, who called you? In past years it was your interviewer, people in the admissions office, etc.
I think I was just called by one of the faculty members, since I didn't recognize the name at all!
This is largely anecdotal evidence, but I personally knew a good amount of people who were admitted during the first wave, and it appears that they called based on alphabetical order of last names.

During the first wave, they did scholarships on the call, and I believe that was how they said they were going to do it on my interview date.
Does anyone know if the calls will be over the course of a couple days? or if we don't hear back today, should we assume we have been put on the waitlist? If the alphabetical calling is true, I believe I have already been passed up. Trying not to lose hope.
In December, calls were distributed over 2-3 days
nobody knows the answers to these questions for sure so keep stressin
I doubt it's alphabetical. I received the call on the second day of calls in December and my last name is early in the alphabet. It's not over yet!
I can't imagine they've all gone out, since I would expect more people to have posted if so, and I doubt they would do it alphabetically over multiple days... especially since somebody got in today with an S last name. I'm guessing those of us still waiting are still in the running for tomorrow and maybe Wednesday (especially if they don't make calls for very many hours each day).

Did they tell you during the call about the scholarship? When I asked, I was told to contact the admissions later for more info..

I asked about it, but they said I didn't receive a merit scholarship.
Just got accepted!! I didn't even know what to say. No mention of scholarship, and I was too excited/nervous to ask. Planning on calling the admissions office later about it

I would have guessed that they wouldn't go super late in their time zone, but then again there seem to have been some somewhat late calls last night, looking at people's comments on this thread. So... who knows?
My guess is that it's over. 2 days of calls and then we'll wait until Thursday to get waitlisted.
Well, though you may well be right, I'm going to go on hoping not... At least until tomorrow. I have two more schools which should be calling this week, one of them supposedly starting tomorrow... and also taking 2-3 days. This could either turn into a great week or a very long, depressing one.
I heard that calls will go out throughout the week and everyone will know waitlist or accept by Friday.
