+1. But I am more looking forward to that rejection letter than a secondary invite at this point. Your stats are better than mine so you might get one. They have a very holistic review process so it might take a while.

+1!! verified day 1, my stats and life and OVERALL AWESOMENESS is just like whoa so I'm kinda like, hey vandy what's the deal?!
I got an II here within the past two weeks, and my MCAT is much lower than their average accepted (still above 10 percentile). So there is hope for everyone with similar/better stats! Can't wait to see what Nashville is like!

Rejected Pre-secondary. Complete in July. Not surprised applied without knowing my Mcat score and ended up scoring 4 points below what I scored AAMC exam. Really appreciate the holistic view without the secondary fee though.

Surprised I wasn't rejected yet as my stats are below most of yours. When were you guys complete? I was complete August 9 with the release of my MCAT score but my app was verified far before then

Hey guys, I'm a current first year at VUSM. Just wanted to make myself available to answer any questions -- feel free to PM me too!
Also, I'm sure many of you are very anxious regarding secondaries and interview invites. What I'm about to write may make you more nervous, but it also has the potential to "set you free" from some of that anxiety. This process is long and, in my opinion, extremely unpredictable. There really is no way to reliably gauge who will get a secondary or an interview at a given school, so there is no need to fret over it. What will happen will happen. A year from now you'll be looking back at some interviews/acceptances you could have never dreamed of, as well as some rejections that were surprising (e.g. I interviewed at 3-5 top 10 schools, but only interviewed at 1 of my state's numerous schools -- I come from a big state). I had a pretty low LizzyM (between 68-71), and yet I got a Vandy secondary within days of being verified and got an interview invite within a month of submitting (it also took me a very long time to submit... think on the order of months...). Schools really are looking at the whole picture of an applicant, and it's by and large no longer in your hands so try to be grateful to be at this point! What an amazing journey you are starting on!

II, so so stoked! Lizzy ~73 submitted secondary recently. dumb question but if i choose a later interview month (december vs october), does that affect my acceptance chances?? this is my #1 choice, so i thought i'd ask!
Given that VUSM kind of has a rolling system (e.g. there are two waves of acceptances), I would probably go with the earlier interview, though I imagine that the differences in months isn't that big of a deal if for some life reason you can't do the October date -- if they want to admit you, they will. If you interview in December, you definitely won't be considered during the first wave of acceptances which is something to consider.
Will they actually send an email saying we're rejected? Or how is that communicated? I feel like I'm in some kind of purgatory...
Someone on here had said they they stop sending out secondaries the end of October. I emailed the admissions office and they said they will send out secondaries until mid-November. So there's still time. After they stop sending them out I think they'll send a rejection to the rest.

Got the axe this morning-submitted first day. I also got one of those letters from them telling me to apply a while back...so some further evidence that those don't mean anything. Good luck all
