That doesn’t mean it’s over for you! I’m sure there will be movement throughout the whole month
Yeah, they have to wait to hear back from those students too. Some schools are giving students 3 days to decide, others 5 days. Ultimately, any of the people who were previously on the waitlist could say no and others who have been accepted could get off a waitlist somewhere else and decide to go to that new school. Don't give up hope! Do prepare for another cycle if you (like me) haven't gotten an acceptance yet.

Wow good for you!! im in the same position and really dreading getting ready to re-apply so thank you for the motivation haha keep hope though!
I am also in a position where I may need to reapply. I am on 2 waitlists with no acceptances I am dreading reapplying as well, especially dreading asking my LOR writers to resubmit and draining my still-empty bank account from this cycle. I'm just tired of being so broke all the time. I wish I could stop spending all my hard-earned money on this. I dont' have enough money to apply to very many schools next cycle, so I'll need to apply in batches (corresponding to paychecks). This is why I keep telling myself I will get off one of the waitlists, but I can't be certain. My hopes are high since both the schools I'm waitlisted at pull about 20-30 people off, but I really need to start thinking more realistically as well.
Same position many of us are in. The struggle is real. I'm still grinding to pay off last cycle. The lack of certainty also makes it hard to be productive and commit to work or volunteering opportunities or any of the number of things this process requires. I'd be taking out loans too to reapply. But we're here together and we can work together to crack this thing if we have to go through it again.

I too reopened and filled out the 2020 app. Gonna suck have to rewrite the personal statement as that appears to be what held me back from going from WL/R to A.
Same dude. Really tired of continually giving money and then not seeing any return. Also annoyed how much of my personal life suffers from this process.
I think there are a lot of schools that haven't started doing any calls yet, so we shouldn't start worrying yet!
