Has anyone's status changed since paying the $30 fee? Mine still says "You will receive instructions on paying the $30 secondary application fee soon. A confirmation email will be sent after the payment has been received. Your application will NOT be completed, and subsequently not reviewed for interview, until the fee has been paid." and has never changed, even though i paid the fee 2 months ago. Should it have updated to Complete or something of that sort?

Edited to add: i did receive the "application Complete" email 12 days after paying the fee.

I got a complete email. Did you ever get one? If not then you should probably call them.

Got an interview invite last week, all of the dates through 2019 were filled up. The interview is at the beginning of January. I was complete very early in July and submitted my 30$ application fee as soon as everyone received the email. This is my first II and I am ecstatic.
Mcat 503
GPA in the 3.7s
Science GPA High 3.5s
My EC's aligned very well with this school's mission statement and values

Congrats!! Are you IS?

II today!! The earliest available date was February 3rd and I'm a little worried because isn't that pretty late in the cycle?

You could think of it that way, but FSU starts interviewing later. Either way your better off than those of us waiting in interview invites lol.

Yeah you are right thank you! Good luck!!

Hi guys! How long does it take the secondary fee email to appear in my inbox after I submit the secondary? Also if i used the fee assistance program, does this mean that it is just automatically waived?

Do II come via email, portal, or phone call?

Already in February interviews? Darn. My GPAs and MCAT are above the median and I thought I was a good fit for the school. :sorry:

I have MCAT 509 and GPA 3.74... I've been considering adding this school and some others (I had run out of money!). Am I too late in the cycle to add?

What are your ECs like? Are you in-state?

Out of state. ~ 500 hours patient care ~ 1,500 hours clinical research

As arjusmc said, you basically have no chance with being OOS. Last year FSU had 6,000 OOS apps and accepted a single OOS applicant.

i have a question for those who have already interviewed— how many people were interviewing during your session? Last year when I interviewed it was 3, but they had a morning and an afternoon session on both Mondays and fridays so I thought it was interesting that they only have one session on each day now. Just wondering if they’re interviewing less people or if they’re interviewing the same number of people but combining them into the same sessions rather than having more sessions.

I think they have combined the morning and afternoon sessions to make it 1 session per interview day of 6 students each. there were 6 of us total at my interview

Okay yea that’s what I was thinking they probably did. I was so hopefully they were interviewing less students making our chances better post interview lol. Thanks for the response!

Did it take forever for y’all to get marked as complete? I submitted my secondary 7/24 and received the “application complete” email 9/5...Did I get screwed or did someone else also experience this? I’m IS and my ECs align with their mission. I feel like I’m screwed...

I submitted around the same time and was marked complete mid-August. When were your letters of rec turned in?

Ah yes this could be it. I did my pre-health committee interview 8/9 and letters were submitted to AMCAS about three days later. Does that make more sense?

Not sure. My letters were received around 8/8 and a couple of days later I got the complete email.

Did you interview last year, not get in, and got another interview with them this year? If that is the case did your interview just go really bad last year?

hey everyone! can anyone speak to the interview process? Or about the interview day in general? I am looking to prepare for a future interview at FSU. The long gap between II and interview is giving me anxiety... lol

Congrats to all those who were accepted! Does anyone know how FSU adcom feels about pre-II updates or where I can send them? FSU is my top choice and my ECs fit very well with their mission, so I'm trying to get myself the extra little nudge I need to get the II!

What are your stats? When did you submit secondaries? When did you get your II and when is your interview date?

How long did it take you guys to get a complete email after you submitted your secondary?
