II today, I am totally stoked!! It will be in early February, so I most likely am competing for a waitlist spot, but I still feel super grateful! I was just wondering what should I do to prepare for the interview and if there are any tips that current students would like to give?

Thats not true. Thats a strong misconception.

Would any current students be able to give more information about how the curriculum is set up (perhaps a calendar showing what is when), frequency of exams, and what a general day looks like for most students (time in class/hours of class/how much free time you have and the like)?

This last fall semester we had exams every 2 weeks and our midterms all in one week. Same as finals. A typical week looks like this. We have class from 8-12, sometimes 8-2 or 3. The mandatory courses are usually Wednesday and Thursday so we have class from 8-5. So there’s still plenty of time for studying. Winter semester is different, we are usually in class every day until 3 and until 5 when we have mandatories.

Got an email about the certificate program; does anyone know this program and its statistics? Are the people meeting the statistics guaranteed a spot or given an interview? The wording made it seem like a spot is guaranteed, but that's too good to be true.

Don't do this, what are your stats? Most likely you will be able to get into a DO school.

I have a 509. Science GPA is low though, from a top 20 school, so I have already done a MS and performed well. I am getting interviews from other places , but I get very nervous. I would do this program if they can guarantee I will get in. The wording is so unclear, seems like bait

Do not do a certificate program at a DO schools with that. You can get into an excellent Do school with that MCAT ALONE!!! You do not need a certificate program.

Thank you for your input. I probably just need more "real world experience" which is why I'm scribing right now. There's so many programs now preying on our $$$ I can see why you say not to do it.

I was complete early July but heard nothing since. Should I just move on with my life at this point? Lol

Can a current student comment on how much dedicated board time is given in the new curriculum? The med students that led my tour seemed to have no idea.

Also, I am curious what their average COMLEX level 1 and Step 1 scores are?

Thanks in advance.

for those that have been accepted, have you created a NSU email yet? or should I wait till after I make the full deposit? I've only paid 1250 as of now

Just offered an interview invitation yesterday! Currently already have a deposit at LMU-Knoxville. Anyone have any thoughts on how the two might compare or just on Nova SE in general. I applied to the Clearwater campus but I'm not sure where the interview is. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

FYI Just called and found out that Clearwater has a waitlist, but there are still spots in Ft. Lauderdale. And all the interviews are at the main campus. Anyone out there planning on going to the Feb 18 or 20 interviews?

That is weird. During my interview 2 weeks ago, the Dean said Ft. Lauderdale was full and Clearwater was the only one with spots. Guess people have dropped out.

Hi! Do you mean waitlist for interview dates or they are interviewing for waitlist spots?

The person I talked to in the admissions office said that they still have openings at the main campus, so that is what the current interviews will be for it sounds like. There is currently a wait list for the Clearwater campus, so if accepted to Ft. Lauderdale, you could theoretically join that list. I applied specifically to Clearwater, but they are still interviewing me for the main campus. To be completely honest though, I wouldn't be surprised if this information isn't 100% correct. The person I talked to wasn't actually aware there was a Clearwater campus before I asked about it...

I just interviewed last week and they told us Ft. Lauderdale was full, Clearwater had spots open. interviewed at Ft Lauderdale despite it being full as well

Same as above, interviewed there a week or two ago and they told us that Clearwater has open spots but there is a waitlist for Ft. Lauderdale (I had chose Ft. Lauderdale so they will still interview you no matter what you choose, but then when the acceptance comes you can be put on the waitlist for Davie or choose clearwater)

And obviously if you accept and you do not get off the waitlist for Davie, THEN you attend at the clearwater campus - it is not a waitlist on admissions it is a waitlist for campus preference

I interviewed the 16th and have not heard back yet, I had thought they mentioned beginnig of February though
Yeah that’s what I heard too. But they did say the committee was going to meet today for decisions. Hopefully the mails will all come out today then..

Can anyone that interviewed give me a rundown of the actual interview? I've been hearing so many mixed things and have no idea what to expect next week pls send help

I was accepted to the Clearwater campus...does anyone have any idea what the movement off of the campus waitlist looks like? I really want to live in Davie!

This may be a stupid question, but is there anything else I need to do after submitting Intent to Enroll and paid full deposit? Will they send more emails to confirm/with instructions?

How do you know which campus you were accepted to? I don't see it on the acceptance email. I am assuming it's Clearwater since we were told during the interview that Davie was full. But I want to make sure.

It's in the first paragraph on the second page of the acceptance letter that is attached to the email!

Any idea if they’re still inviting people for interviews?
