Yeah FSU starts 6/1. Most other schools start August I think. So I think we're just gonna have to wait it out til 6/1 for an official rejection.I think the waiting is on everyone's nerves. I may be wrong but FSU may start earlier than all other schools in our state. So possibly if someone is offered a acceptance and is waitlisted at there number 1 then those people probably wait till the last moment to decide in hopes of hearing from their number 1. Which means we must sit and wait, and wait. Stinks for us, but I'm sure it must stink for FSU administration also. My guess they would want everyone to be at orientation. Good luck to all!!
+1Got my official R.
By email?
Yup, I was waitlistedBy email?
Is anyone else still waitlisted at FSU? Because I am and I still haven't gotten a rejection yet.
Hi there! I have a question for you 🙂Current M1. Please let me know of any questions!
Hey, sorry for the late response. Could you DM me? I could go more into specifics there. After M1 year, you’re “off” for the summer. Many people either do the Summer Research Fellowship with a faculty member (you get $4k for doing this) or become a TA (you get $5k for this). Overall, though, no it is not uncommon. If you want to discuss further, please DM.Hi there! I have a question for you 🙂
I saw a professor at FSUCOM does research on policy and how it affects healthcare accessibility. My undergraduate was actually in politics and I would be really interested in participating in research on this topic. My question is: as a medical student, is it unusual to become involved in this type of research? Are there specific opportunities for med students for research or could I just approach this professor and express my interest?
Hi very laid back. Two interviews; one formal interview with standard questions and one more laid back get to know you interview. SDN interview questions are spot on definitely use them to prep. Good luck! (Current student.)Anybody have any advice on the interviews or just like a basic info on how it’s like and if it’s one or two separate interviews? Thanks so much in advance 🙂
