2021-2022 University of Chicago (Pritzker)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They said at the first interview day they release a very very small number of acceptances on oct 15th,
Looks like the November release was for last year (affected by COVID) and all other years it's been Oct 15 for a small number of acceptances. How do I know this? Not me obsessively going back through all the prior SDN threads at work, nope...

Every school (unless explicitly non-rolling like Yale) has a small amount of superstar candidates who they’ll accept on the first day. For others they will wait and see the other interviewers before committing.

Med school applicants are like European call options. Inviting them for an interview is akin to purchasing the option. Accepting is akin to exercising the option. Rejecting is akin to letting the option expire out of the money.

I have no frickin idea what a European call option is, but thank you my dude. Idk y'all, if no one gets any calls in the next hour or two my calculations may be incorrect.

If they’re only sending them out to a few people, I would say pretty decent chance. Almost none of my premed friends from UG knew what SDN even was. If it’s a wave, then somebody would be on sdn

What are the chances that people who got accepted are not on SDN?
Proabably high. NYU apparently accepted people but 0 A's on the thread so far. Also UChicago is very mission-driven and I'd assume their superstar candidates are those with intense focus in the Chicagoland or Hyde Park-esque area, i.e. care a lot about community and to be frank 99% of people here are just neurotic high stat robots with good research lolz

Well..seems like Pritzker most likely isn't getting back to people today. Based on other threads I think people would of been quick to post. Maybe Monday!

I might be hallucinating - but....

On the "Post-Interview Timeline" of the Pritzker Interview website, I could have sworn it used to say "acceptance notification will begin October 15 2021" but now it just says "October 2021"

Does anyone else remember seeing this or am I creating fake memories?
Mandela Effect lulz... I wouldn't trip yall, I don't think they've sent it out yet

anyone else submitted around 7/7 and still waiting anxiously to hear R or II, lol

Anyone who's interviewed already - I had to miss the student social because of a family emergency. Does anyone know if the student social was a big deal/came up in the interviews?
Nah it was super low stress and very casual. Don't think it was brought up at all during the interview day as far as I can remember.

Any new IIs here at all? All these Rs but no IIs being reported! I was complete end of August. Did nobody with August complete date get an II yet??

Rejected pre-II, 511 MCAT, 3.6 cGPA, OOS, complete beginning of September. Good luck everyone!

At this point, I feel like they've already given out some As 🙁
I'm surprised we haven't heard anything back though
